An x means fk all other than she's being polite.
But if she's turned the dot above an "i" into a heart then she' definately would like to "get to know you".

I had a manager who used to sign her work emails "xoxo" so I shouldn't read too much into it.

Go round late at night and say " I really want to get to know you... "

Never fails.

The x means nothing unless you know she doesn't do it to others.

However as mentioned getting some chocolates back mean she doesn't think you're a complete weirdo and so would like to be friends or more.

Or that she thinks you are one but feels guilty about you getting her something and so felt she needed to return the favour....

Or it may simply mean she's being polite.

She might do exactly the same if you were a female neighbour, doesn't mean she's a lesbian.

That's the thing, you may as well flip a coin for all that context that a thread on here can put on it.

she is a neighbour , even if she was interested why crap on your own doorstep? your home is your refuge , if things go norks up . where do you escape to?
an x or two mean absolutely nothing. pretty much interchangable with a full stop.

My experience suggests women put an x after anything... text, cards, the occasional work email confused Doesn't mean anything though...

However, in your case OP even if there was something there don't forget the advice about not stting on your front doorstep wink
Even when they break up with you

"fking tt. I never want to see you again after that dream I had xxxxx"

This; some women give them to everyone, some use them sparingly.

She sounds like a right flirt, definitely up for it. Get round there and do what any red blooded male would.
But keep the card safe, you might need it as evidence in court - 'Could the defence please show the open sex invitation to the rest of the court?'

My male gay friend ends his texts to me with an 'x' and as I'm female, I know that he is just being friendly, think your neighbour is the same.

You've said her age but not yours? If you have a bus pass I'd be of the opinion that she's just being friendly.....

I work in hi-tech sales and (some) people do that! I find it bizarre.
