A month or two ago there were only two Sagaris' for sale on Pistonheads and both were over £70k.

now this is not a topic to debate prices/values or to project where they will go.

I was just wondering if those Sagaris' sold and if so, did they sell for anywhere near their asking price?

cheers

I heard that both were pulled off as no interest was given, please don't quote me on this as its only what I heard at our TVR meet last week......
As soon as Fernhurst drop prices by 5 grand, its a sign of thing slowing down........

With all those bloody Brexit voters forcing the pound to its lowest in decades I would have thought a few more will be leaving for warmer climes, which, come the spring may see a slight uplift in demand... like vultures circling a dying country..

Also into dark/cold season now, so sales will be slow.

Which TVR meet was that ? I've not spoken to anyone regarding mine, and I'm not a TVRCC member. I had plenty of interest in mine , unfortunately the buyers didn't have enough money smile . One buyer wanted it to moth ball it for 2 years when he thought it would be worth £100k. I removed mine since its now Winter and its SORN'd so no point having it advertised until Spring (Unless anyone comes along with £80k now)
Funny how these false rumours are created on here !!!

Str8six sold one last month after a week for £72k.

The one at Fernies has no air con. Very difficult sell IMO.

The one on auto trader was bought and flipped almost immediately using almost identical text. Chancer. Trader pretending to be private.

My feeling is that once the new TVR shows it's face the Sags will start going mad again.

Mind you, I'm often very wrong !

My opinions are irrelevant because I can't afford a Sag (Doh! - I keep meaning to say I do not want a Sag because my T350T is much better!).
But my concern is that when the new TVR comes out (assuming it is a good as I think it will be) the differential between the current price of a Sag and a new TVR will not be big enough; therefore tempting buyers towards buying a new car. This could therefore damage the residuals of the Sags? But I'm wrong more often than I'm right!

This is dependent on the new TVR which is a variable we don't know right now. Is the new NSX killed residuals of the old one? Nope.

Why? Because it is a very different csr.

I'd be very surprised if Les and Co tried to replicate the DNA of a Sagaris.

This time of year is always slow for sports car sales - let's see what happened in the spring!

I know of at least two people looking for Sags. Was offered something for mine recently as well.

Irrespective of whether the new TVR makes launch or not and whether it's a hit or a flop, the original TVRs will become classics, rare and even more desirable. There are 60 or so T350Ts, 200 or so T350Cs, 150 or so Sags, etc etc. Rare by any marque and timeless. I wish all the success to new TVR but I don't think it will affect residuals as completely different markets. Hand made, British and mental

The sag is such an unusual and distinctive car with fabulous 'noisy' TVR DNA - that there is always going to be strong demand in my opinion, irrespective of what Les's new car looks like....or costs. Brexit and the weakened £££ means that overseas demand will be even stronger and, given the limited numbers available, I can only see prices going one way....but I could be wrong toosmile. Also, if you look at what else you can get with the same level of rarity - all TVR's still represent great value for money.
