Yes!

For years I watched my father and Grandfather do this and thought it was the most uncomfortable way to sit evahh.

Now, at 39 I can't stop myself, I put it down to genetics.

I can't help thinking I look like Kenny Everett doing the "Best possible taste" woman though, my wife's given up shouting insults at me when I do it now.
Glad I'm not the only one.

Whats wrong with sitting down to piss? Obviously I don't do it every time and only ever in the comfort of my own home but I find it quite relaxing after a long day. Am I alone?
If I get home from a long run and open a can of lager and a pack of biscuits to aid recovery I quite often enjoy a seated piss whilst consuming them and waiting for the shower to warm up. Feels pretty manly to me.

I sit down to piss. As does my 6 year old son. My 4 year old likes to hose in the grid in the courtyard or in the bushes at the top of the garden.

I also cross my legs a lot, it is comfortable. Not in that praying mantis, wrap your foot behind your calf way that some blokes seem to be able to manage though, that looks painful.

...and for nocturnal purposes as there's no need for a light to be switched on. The en suite in our master bedroom has a glass panelled door and it will wake my Good Lady if I were to switch the light on to ensure a true aim. THe only snag is the tendency to nod off...

It was a gentle poke at the OP apperently feeling less masculine that's all.

How in the name of sweet Jesus are you supposed to casually browse Entertainment portals for the female on female form if you're not sat down to pee??

I girly wee all the time, only at home though.

Weirdly, I was listening to Matt Edmondson on Radio 1 earlier and he was talking about stuff like this. The weirdest one being blokes who cant ste with any item of clothing on, they can only do it starkers.

Thank you for this humerous thread, I actually LOL whilst reading several of the comments, just when I needed it most. Hang on though, dear old sidicks will be along in a moment and ask for some evidence whistle
You're obsessed aren't you?

Evidence required to support claims of 'fact'.
No evidence requirement to support personal opinions, unless you want to be able to justify that those opinions are based on more than prejudice or ignorance!

I'm the same. Maybe not the Kenny Everett part, mind...

I'm younger than you mind. If I'm in certain seats it feels weird to not cross my legs, in complete contrast to my previous tendencies.

Etiquette would tend to dictate that urinating should be performed as a solitary endeavour though whatever takes your fancy really. We are quite open-minded on here.

Not that I'm particularly bothered about whether or not you chaps cross your legs, but I have been led to believe by various people (including some medical staff) that crossing one's legs can encourage varicose veins to form.
Even crossing your ankles is frowned upon as I found out last time I was in hospital having a very minor procedure done.
