If a 50+ man wants a younger woman, why not one from Thailand/Philippines/etc?
From the "Match" thread and looking on dating sites most 30something UK women won't consider any man over 45. So, of course, a 50/60 year old man is going to look elsewhere.
Obviously though he needs to have his wits about him, but as has been said that is just as necessary in the UK as well.

Because people don't like to admit they are getting old. Getting old only ends one way. Nobody gets fitter with age, after all. Sports don't get easier. So if you can date a younger woman then it proves that you've still "got it", just like I like to prove I've still "got it" via sport, even if I probably never did.wack said:

Presumeably because men are evolutionarily hard wired to be sexually attracted to women who look fertile.Of course both these points are a sweeping generalisation, but this whole thread topic is not exactly rocket science.

Having traveled in the oil industry I've seen it work and I've seen it fail. I've had friends or colleagues from the UK marry Russian, Thai, Filipino, Venezuelan, Vietnamese, Nigerian and Australian. Some work very, very well and some are a complete car crash - just like relationships in the UK between Brits!
Some of the girls see it out long enough to get visas, some see it out as they genuinely love their husbands and some fail like any other relationship. Sometimes it's a business relationship, and to me that's OK if it's fully consenting both sides. 1 side gets safety and security, both physical and financial and the other is looked after very well by a hot young thing...
I have seen guys absolutely 'ripped' by the Russian super-model type though. Some of those girls are gorgeous and highly sexually motivated, but their tastes in designer gear could ruin the Sultan of Brunei!
If people are happy on both sides, then why should anyone judge or even care?
I married a very pretty, but mental Scottish redhead so I also know about extremes!

I remember reading an old thread on here years ago from some old guy working offshore in the oil fields in Asia who'd married a young Filipino girl and bought a big house for her in the Philippines somewhere and then had her mother move in with them . Dunno if he still posts on here (can't remember the username) but he isn't going to be short of a few quid in that line of work and that kind of money would go a very long way in the Philippines. His young wife and family just biding their time? 
I guess when you're balls deep in some hot, young pretty thing you don't worry about things like that

Could be me, 21 years with my wife, still here in the Philippines but moving back to the U.K. soon, wife and daughter are fed up over here.. Dunno if he still posts on here (can't remember the username) but he isn't going to be short of a few quid in that line of work and that kind of money would go a very long way in the Philippines. I guess when you're balls deep in some hot, young pretty thing you don't worry about things like that .The MIL died a couple of years ago, finally.... she was a pain in the arse but useful as a babysitter at times. She did come to the U.K. to live with us when we were other there a decade ago.
And I'm not that old, 56 now, and retired, 35 when I met the wife.
