Vanity I understand and suffer from to certain degree, as do many of us. But surely she could have benefited from someone close to her giving her some proper advice rather than just nodding along with her suggestion.
On the subject of cosmetic surgery- someone who I always thought looked better at 40 than she did at 20 is now 70. This is her in stay-in clothes with her 90 year old mum. I still think she's one of the few good examples of cosmetic surgery from that era.
Not hard mind you.
