Joint hen/stag night next weekend.
If she's cut him off from all his mates that's gonna be a weird invite list: her + (probable low-life) mates + BIL on the leash

Sadly I have seen this before, several times in fact. When the flow of money dries up, she will disappear/move on to next victim.
On the bright side, when the flow of money dries up, she will disappear/move on to the next victim.

Estimated 12 at the Sten night (me and the OH being 2) from a list of mates which 2 years ago may well have filled most large pubs.

That sounds like several people got murdered by a psycho with a WW2 submachine gun.

Seen this happen to my (ex) best mate.

SWT of a girlfriend got her claws (can snakes have claws? Fangs, then) into him and I watched her remove every one of his friends and family from him one at a time, including me. It seems he is now "allowed" to be in touch with his immediate family, about 15 years down the line.

Also: no pregnancy at the time; I did mention to him that with what she was doing she must be a REALLY good shag, and was told actually that hardly ever happens due to "issues" from previous relationships.

Sometimes it's just impossible to help people and you have to let them live their own life and make their own mistakes choices.
If you look closely they have "spurs" on either side of their vent (fancy name for a snakey butthole) that are tiny vestigial claws. Easier to see on the males, usually.

Hey! Every day's a school day smile

I've been following this thread, the most recent posts remind me of another mate from uni, I happened to speak to him by chance and invited myself and another mutual old mate who was lodging with me at the time to a party a couple of weeks after his wedding to his all-contacts-and-friends-removing snake (who got hold of him at Uni). He was a popular lad with loads of friends, most of which I knew as well... I only knew him, his wife and his best man from the wedding pics, all the others were "her" friends and it was the same at the party (minus the best man, even!). Have barely spoken to him since, not for want of trying every now and again frown

What 'disability' is she suffering from? - earlier in the thread the OP mentioned it but never expanded on it.

Crones. Nothing that stops he drinking like a fish and shopping for England!

STEN night had 4 of his mates and partners, me and his sister, and the wife to be with one friend. Basically i think it was simply supervised drinking.

Had a chat to one of his best friendsat the Sten night. they used to be weekly footy, curry and beer buddies. He has seen him twice since he met her 18 months ago, once when we both helped them move house.

Hate to say it, but as you have shown support over all this, he knows when it all goes tits up he can come and be your problem. You need to practice a bit of tough love IMO and tell him IF he is so fking stupid to marry this gold digger, he is on his fking own.
Tell him he is mental, remind him of his life before, tell him it is not too late and if he doesn't man up and leave the cow, he is fked.

He's fked anyway, but whilst she is there, she will drain him from every orifice, and I don't mean that in a good way. At least now he is only in for about 150k.

Update:

He really is f*cked.

6 months ago his new wife had a fall out with her chief bridesmaid and in a very Jeremy Kyle tradition I got an email telling me to remove the bridemaid from my friends list on facebook and to have no contact. I declined, reminding them that when I last checked I wasnt a 14 year old girl. There followed a series of late night calls (including one at midnight a few days after my sister died) demanding I didnt talk to the bridesmaid. I then got a letter had delivered at 2am demanding I have no contact with the bridesmaid. So I called the bridesmaid and she started to spill the beans.......seems older men with ££££ are her type and that the reason she didnt want me to speak to the bridesmaid was that she knows too much (she was told not to tell us anything about her past at the wedding). She is basically a lady of 'loose morals' and a benefits cheat.

Anyway, despite an open invite, we have only seen them in three x 15 minute visits in 5 months, when they came to collect birthday and Christmas presents for the kids.

He has now taken his pension and is living on that and on benefits. She is busily spending the lump sum from his pension on furniture, a Mercedes, holidays and makeovers. He is basically mother and father to the kids while she does feck all but take selfies.

I am preparing the spare room for when the money runs out.

What an awful situation.

But I feel it difficult to feel 100% sympathy. He's old enough to know when someone is taking advantage.

Ah well.

This is entirely self inflicted. At any point he could've put a halt to it and should be clued up enough to do so.

If it were someone I knew I would wish them luck, remind them why they're throwing their life away and not contact them again. I've seen it enough times now.

I didn't know joint Facebook accounts were common!
I see quite a few. A hand full of my partners friends have joint accounts. Bit pathetic really.
Cringey!
Topped only by those with joint PH accounts....
