Just over 2 weeks until the day now.

Drama after drama after drama.

Cut a long story short, he is off sick from work with stress. Just about every public service have been involved; social workers, schools, cops, A&E, lawyers.

We havent seen him alone now for 18 months. He has spent less than 4 hours here this year (used to come weekly for a few hours).

Topped it all yesterday when he complained ( I suspect at her behest) that father in law had not given the woman's 13 year old son money for his birthday, (as he had given the daughter £50 when she conveniently visited to us to 'use the toilet' on her birthday and our 82 year old father suddenly started throwing cash at her). My wife did point out that FiL wasnt telepathic and had no idea of whne the lads boirthdat was, and had a lot on his mind ( he lost his little dog/best friend 4 weeks ago).

In 18 months he has gone from being a laid back cool dude with a wide circle of friends in a professional job and cash to burn, to seriously talking about living on income support. And you can't say a word to him about her. Tragic.

Joint hen/stag night next weekend.

If she's cut him off from all his mates that's gonna be a weird invite list: her + (probable low-life) mates + BIL on the leash
Estimated 12 at the Sten night (me and the OH being 2) from a list of mates which 2 years ago may well have filled most large pubs.

What 'disability' is she suffering from? - earlier in the thread the OP mentioned it but never expanded on it.
Crones. Nothing that stops he drinking like a fish and shopping for England!

STEN night had 4 of his mates and partners, me and his sister, and the wife to be with one friend. Basically i think it was simply supervised drinking.

Had a chat to one of his best friendsat the Sten night. they used to be weekly footy, curry and beer buddies. He has seen him twice since he met her 18 months ago, once when we both helped them move house.

Update:

He really is f*cked.

6 months ago his new wife had a fall out with her chief bridesmaid and in a very Jeremy Kyle tradition I got an email telling me to remove the bridemaid from my friends list on facebook and to have no contact. I declined, reminding them that when I last checked I wasnt a 14 year old girl. There followed a series of late night calls (including one at midnight a few days after my sister died) demanding I didnt talk to the bridesmaid. I then got a letter had delivered at 2am demanding I have no contact with the bridesmaid. So I called the bridesmaid and she started to spill the beans.......seems older men with ££££ are her type and that the reason she didnt want me to speak to the bridesmaid was that she knows too much (she was told not to tell us anything about her past at the wedding). She is basically a lady of 'loose morals' and a benefits cheat.

Anyway, despite an open invite, we have only seen them in three x 15 minute visits in 5 months, when they came to collect birthday and Christmas presents for the kids.

He has now taken his pension and is living on that and on benefits. She is busily spending the lump sum from his pension on furniture, a Mercedes, holidays and makeovers. He is basically mother and father to the kids while she does feck all but take selfies.

I am preparing the spare room for when the money runs out.

OP, how has he taken his pension? He was 50 in the opening post so can only be 52/53 now.
.

Yes he was 55 last month (public sector pension scheme). Also took the max permissable cash chunk of his additional voluntary pension.

Actually they came today for 25 mins, for the 2nd time this year (I suspect hoping for Easter eggs for the kids). She barely spoke. He even answered her question on if she wanted a cup of tea, and wanted to take her with him when I took him upstairs to show him the office revamp, as I think we was nervous about me grilling him. Spent all of 5 seconds in the office before going back downstairs to her. They have just spent money fitting CCTV and alarms. I am not sure if it is part of her 'I cannot be left alone' plan . She makes wild allegations against the former husband being some wild stalker which the bridesmaid says are rubbish and there has been no sign of him anyway fr 2 years.
