Has she ever driven a classic Bug? They're the kind of car that looks lovely, but have the potential to put you off driving forever!

I need help and inspiration.I have absolutely nothing sorted for Mrs o. And to make it worse we are with the in laws for Christmas Day.

Every suggestion has been met with "I don't like/ want it".when I've thought of something else within hours I've been told don't buy me ...... H ow the hell does she mind read so easily after 12 years together.Perhaps I'm just shallow and obvious which leads me here for help.god help me.

Budget- that has increased with my sense of impending doom and the thought of critical looks from the in laws and sister in law on Christmas Day if all she has is a couple of neatly wrapped mince pies to open.We started with about £500 and I'm now at Rolex levels. It's not that she's demanding (honest) just that we really just get what we want as we go and there is no new obvious tech this year as I wa saved last year by an iPad Pro.

Holidays are all planned already and she loves to sort all that so that's a non starter.

Thought I had it sorted with a new handbag. No. Told don't just get me a new bag I'm happy with what I have. She is saying don't bother getting anything there's nothing I want but we all know the hurt that leads to if taken at face value.

So please help save me.

Year before last I had real tears from Mrs e. Most of us have family photos on a PC and never look at them. Secretly I dug through what we had and went to one of the online photo album people. You can make it/format as you like. She looks at it every now and then rather than daily but a lot more often than photos on the PC. Quite inexpensive but heavy on your time to make it.

You'll have to be very quick now for Xmas delivery.

Wife has an aged nun as an aunt and its nigh on impossible to buy for her (chocolates or tights apart) so last year got the family to send me old family photos and made her up an album. She was very pleased, well as much as an ex Mother Superior can be. The process also brought the family together a bit too.

Health Spa Days are usually very welcome - particularly if you fork out for her best fried to go along too.

This is her first, but she got it as an early present. It certainly was a interesting thing to drive. I kept telling myself, and her, it's the joys of classic motoring lol.

Honestly she has yet to tell me.
Her birthday was today and she only told me what she wanted yesterday after I said to her if she dont tell me she gets nothing. She picked a new handbag and a pair of jeans.
She has yet to tell me what she wants for xmas. I will buy her nothing until I know the money I spend goes on something she will want/use, And not something she will go giddy at in front of me then throw the gift in the box room with all the other tat and stuff we have no use for but she cant let me take to the dump/charity shops.
You old romantic, all heart......

My wife found the list I made of stuff to get her the other day... oops!

To be fair, it is all stuff she asked for, and I'd rather get that than something that will never get used, but I should probably get her something else now to surprise her! Not a hairdryer though, she's got enough of those!
