This! I want this! I might buy myself one. Works perfectly. Bit of adjustment and it's producing a lovely espresso grind. Making a drink is now quite the event!
It's been mounted to a shelf in the kitchen and the box has gone under the tree! She loves it.
I added a 3 month subscription from Small Batch Coffee in Brighton to keep her going. And some socks.
Mine was dropping hints that she wanted a nice hot water bottle (helps with her back pain)
a few days later we are out shopping for xmas decorations and she picks up a hot water bottle, I say 'Maybe you shouldn't get that' She looks at me blankly 'why not? i want one'
Thats that idea down the drain!

go back to the late 80's and early 90's, I was a massive VW fan- had a lot of Beetles, vans etc. I remember the last bug I had was a 1303S- so a 1600cc, disc braked, McPherson Strut ind. suspension beetle in about 95, along side my camper. It was absolutely sorted, working heaters even and critically probably the best model for driving, bug that there was. I remember telling my gf at the time, on no occasion, ever in the future, let me own, dream, even consider buying one of these again. good fun as a yoof, but forget it when you get a bit older and prefer comfort and ease in driving. Wait till she gets in and finds she can't turn a heater on ! still have fun with it though

At the minute the problem is being able to turn the Heater off lol the vents are stuck in the open position. Kwaka. Check the heat exchangers. They'll be wired open. It's very rare for the internal cab controls to work. The cable tubes rot and get full of rust.
Most people wire or cable tie the flaps open.
As it's a stupid system you get a warm back seat, warm feet and if yr lucky luke warm air on the dash.
Normally the heater ducts under the bonnet are missing or shredded
Or if the cars had a cheap resto and new cills, it might not even have heater channels in it.

The heater channels are still in but they've had repair work done to them. We've got to drop the engine out after Christmas to investigate an oil leak so I'll check the heat exchangers then. Cheers.Normally the heater ducts under the bonnet are missing or shredded

Am struggling a bit, first xmas with the latest Mrs R, and been given some ideas from her sis (she does like her brands!) but nothing hugely inspirational. Not helped by her birthday being early January either....
What's on your shopping list?
I'm in the same boat. 1st Christmas with new girlfriend. I'm struggling a bit too, and her birthday is on new years day. This thread could be very useful, but having seen some "help me out with..." type threads before, I don't expect to be greatly helped. Lets see...
I'm really struggling with a gift as well! She has given nothing away, and doesn't really 'need' anything. She is off work for a week in January, and as I have been asked to be the on call manager over the festive season, I have 5 days to carry over, so will probably look at a break in the sun for 'our' Christmas! Win/win!
