Excellent that is her ultimate fantasy but I think she is thinking somewhere hot to do it.

Mine was dropping hints that she wanted a nice hot water bottle (helps with her back pain)

a few days later we are out shopping for xmas decorations and she picks up a hot water bottle, I say 'Maybe you shouldn't get that' She looks at me blankly 'why not? i want one'

Thats that idea down the drain!
Such a shame, I can only imagine the beaming face of unbridled joy you would have experienced as she opened that wonderful gift on the 25th

Well I got a few laughs (and an idea for my brother) but nothing for my wife from this thread. Just asked her again and she has no idea. Maybe half a new AV amp idea

I've just bought her a spa day. She isn't materialistic, doesn't want anything really, so thought the best thing to do would give her a day of relaxation.

It's a two for one offer, so she can take her mum too.

The day includes a 1 hour treatment, lunch and then use of the facilities (swimming pool, sauna, grounds etc.) for the rest of the day.

I'll drive them there, drop them off, then have a nice day with our two year old daughter. Win, win. smile

I would keep the 2 for 1 bit secret, gets you a few brownie points from MiL if she thinks you have paid full price for her wink

Technically, it's a two for £109 offer. It isn't advertised as £54.50 x 2, so I call it a two for one.

I'll pedal it as 2 for £109 though to pick up the points. hehe

If your missus would like/love this sort of art you can get limited edition prints starting at under £100, drinks coasters at under a fiver even cards from the website jeremythomasart.co.uk or if you happen to be in Cardiff this week he's doing the Xmas market (located between St Davids 1&2) until the 23rd where you can meet him - a thoroughly nice guy too. No connection apart from being a customer myself. Your wife will get to look at it year after year too.

My wife is pregnant, ordered a 4D baby scan thing with video recording. The letter came addressed to her so she found out about it early unfortunately spoiling the surprise. Fortunately though she loved it. Not something I can get her every year (I hope).

Was it this one https://www.yuyubottle.com/ seems to be getting rave reviews, if you can rave about a hot water bottle.

I bought my other half a silver bangle she liked when we were out so she knows about but wouldn't have picked it up for herself. Also got her tickets to the theatre in January.

Not sure what else to get her though so ideas welcome haha

Gift card for said Spa day was delivered on Saturday. Unfortunately, my fiancée picked up the post. Emblazoned across the front of the envelope was the name of the venue she is going to in Jan.

She said 'ooh, we have something here from Belton Woods addressed to you.' I just played my greatest poker face and said that it must be a flyer or something, as we were there in Jan 2015 for a party and they must have our details.

She handed me the envelope, I walked upstairs and opened it. She then asked what it was. I said that it is indeed a flyer, nothing else. I then hid it in my wardrobe. Since then, she has remarkably failed to mention it, so has hopefully forgotten.

We'll see. She'll probably open in on Christmas day and say she did wonder what the envelope was for. smile

If there are any Harry Potter fans to buy for I hear the tour is very good whatever the age. I bought my step mum a couple of tickets and she loved it.

Keeper!

Mine wanted a watch but I can't stand all the mass produced Michael Kors tat. Someone pointed me in the direction of Brathwaits so I've got her one of those - looks absolutely lovely (technically a bloke's watch but she likes big dress watches). I just wish I'd bought it before Brexit as they're shipped from the US and the dollar/pound has not been kind to me...

Also got her some Irregular Choice shoes with heels at a sensible height so she might actually stand a chance of wearing them; some Dior Pure Poison; and some nice stuff from Victoria's Secret. Although the last one is a bit more selfish...

hehe

She won't. I work and she is at home with our daughter anyway, so she has plenty of time to sneak around if she wants to.
