Bruce McCandless - retired NASA astronaut (aged 80).
He may not be that well known to non space geeks but he was the first astronaut to fly the Manned Manoeuvering Unit. The pictures taken of him floating freely are some of the most famous from the Space Shuttle era -
Less well known is that he was the Capcom during the Apollo 11 moonwalk. That's the voice you hear talking to Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin during their historic moonwalk.

Just discovered that soul singer Robert Knight passed away in November. Best remembered as the original "Everlasting Love" artist and "Love on a Mountain Top". The second song was re-issued in 1974 as part of the Northern Soul revival. It originally dated from 1968.
