I don't know how anyone can do that, least of all with children in the picture.
Unfortunately if you are in the frame of mind to do such things, it is not a reasoned or rational decision.

I think depression makes someone think in a way that someone who hasn't been there couldn't possibly comprehend. I have heard people who have been there talk about a total conviction that those left would be better off without them etc.

Looking likely that Sir Brucie will be next. In hospital with a chest infection. Hmm, not looking good for the super chap. Met him a couple of times when I was a young 'un, he dated my mum before she married dad, but she wasn't a good enough dancer for him. Even then he was a fanatical dancer, used to go dancing at the Tottenham Royal virtually ever night. This'd be just after the war.

Yup, seems like it is true, on the bbc website and on a couple of others.

RIP a true legend, only man to be F1 and 500cc bike world champion.
I doubt we will ever have anyone beat this.

Passing of a true gent. I was fortunate enough to go to a couple of his chats at JD Classics, wonderful man with lots of time for people.

I liked him because he said what he thought. No PR BS from him. It didn't always go down well with the authorities in motorsport. RIP Big John.

I met him and his son at Silverstone testing many years ago and they were both lovely. I then went to Brands Hatch a few weeks later and sadly Henry was killed as we watched him race frown

I then met John at Dunsfold at Wings and wheels a few years later and he posed on a bike for a picture - a true gent and a great champion.

RIP John.
