Does gone else make lists of what is coming out and what they'd like? Not that I make a physical list, but I have one in my head... For instance, in March the Adidas Iniki is launched

And I was really tempted to go for them, but in the same month so are the original Air Max 1 colourways

And the atmos ones, but think these are going to be super limited

So as I can't really spunk out on 3 pairs in a month as the Mrs will go mental, I'll bin the Inikis and wait until summer when these are released

Just wondering if anyone else puts this much thought into it, or am I a complete nutjob as my wife calls me?

I rate boost technology. Very comfy.

I do find, however, that a lot of trainers these days don't have the quality to match the price tag. I remember buying nike shox back in 2000 ish and the quality was great. Same design different colourway about 12 months later was lesser quality.

Air max 95 has always looked and felt a bit cheap to me tbh so much so I have never bought a pair.

Yeezy 750 are excellent quality. Adidas x chruches 2012 are excellent.

I bought some Jordan 1 BReds. Quality is lacking IMHO for what is a £125 shoe.

ETA: BReds sell at a premium as well so quite why people want to pay £200+ for mediocre quality shoes is beyond me.

Agree on the quality thing, nothing like what they used to be even just 10 or so years ago, especially the standard stuff you find in Footlocker etc, materials are so cheap and nasty with glue marks everywhere.

The more limited editions or collaborations with leather, suede are usually better but still not amazing.

I'm really into the technical side - so running shoes rather than trainers.

Currently going through my On phase, so have about 8 different pairs for various uses, including the all black cloud limited edition, which are purely casual.

But I'm not so much a collector, as all of them get used extensively for different types of running.

I also have a soft spot for Saucony, and a lot of their heritage releases, but they are more of a casual sneaker as well.

Anyone attempting to get some of the Yeezys in the morning? I'm not really a fan but the black and red are about the best ones so far I think.

Still not gonna bother personally though...

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can secure a pair of these?

Bit late now for any of the raffles, and adidas confirmed has already expired. Best bet now is to head onto adidas.co.uk from about 08.00 tomorrow morning and join the online queue. Make sure you're logged into your adidas account, don't refresh too often, and when the page starts going round itself it's a case of sit and wait.

Also, don't use loads of tabs and/or devices unless they're on different IP addresses or you can get blocked by adidas.

Good luck

Love those am1s. Never even seen the top ones before

Edit - I knew they reminded me of something, it's the dynamic cherry that's celebrating the 30th this year

Collect some myself.

Current daily/beater rotation -

Adidas Hamburg - Grey
Adidas EQT Running Support
Puma x Mcqueen high tops.

Most expensive in the collection is probably my 350 Pirate Blacks. (uk 11.5 if anyone wants to offer me a trade)

Main love is old school trainers and colourful suede runners. Saucony, Diadora, AM 95/96/97/98/, Micropacers, Hamburgs, Trimm Trabb etc.

Where do people buy their trainers online. I live on Jersey and we have a JD and a really small Schuh. The choices in my JD are poor at best. I have bought off Amazon which is great because the know off the VAT at checkout but had a suspect pair of Roshes and despite being sold by Amazon they seemed off to me so sent them back.

I've bought from a variety of different sources in the past: if you're really keen for a specific release you tend to come up with a seller! That said, here are a few of the bigger names.

- Office
- Offspring
- JD Sports
- Size?
- Scotts Menswear
- Consortium
- END Clothing
- SportsDirect

On top of these there are also the manufacturers' own websites. If there's a specific style you're after you could have some trouble. Off the top of my head, Onitsuka Tigers aren't usually too well represented on different websites. There's also sizeable overlap between Office and Offspring (the two are owned by the same company, as far as I'm aware) and Size / JD / Scotts are all part of JDPLC.

SportsDirect might not do all of the styles discussed in this thread but they do tend to some reasonable models, provided you do a little bit of searching for them. They definitely sold Puma Suede models in the past as well as the Adidas Samba Super.

So, where can I get a cheap pair of Air Max from? - probably wanting some Air Max 90s, as they were the latest thing when I got my first job, selling trainers.

Not being funny, but have you tried a Nike Factory Store? Based on my limited experience they often have 90s. Maybe not the style you're looking for, but they have 90s nonetheless. The nicest release I saw in an outlet store was the Ultra Essential model, which is very light. I also saw a lovely pair someone had ordered via the Nike ID service and returned.

Given there was a relationship milestone on them, I can't see them having sold. biggrin

Few air max on sports direct, around the 70 Mark.
Don't really want to spend that much! - Was hoping for under 50 quid.
