Any shoe in particular? Some of them have the lace lock if you learn how to use it (the 2 holes next to each other at the top of the shoe)
Adidas Originals, have used the top two holes.. made it a bit better. They're fine just a little loose.
So if you can, try doing this https://youtu.be/IijQyX_YCKA

Just grabbed a pair of these EQT Camo Tri Stripes:

I've seen them on resale sites up at $200+ which is madness, I don't think they are that limited. I paid $110.

looking forward to giving them a go.

On the subject of trainers, whats with people not tying them, but tucking them in instead?

Really annoying isn't it? Don't know if you watched the video, (as we say I think on there) but there is a whisper that they're coming out againin september. Apparently the OG thing was a last minute decision from Nike, so eithercouldn't manage to make enough, or it's just strategy so people go bonkers in September and try get them again...
deeply annoying. Even more so given that this colour has been a GR many times before.

The whole sneaker thing has just become odd - it seems like they've become a status of wealth online, particularly on instagram where you get loads of people sitting on piles of yeezy and showing off their closets with piles of unused NMD's, yeezys and Jordans. What are these people doing with all these unused shoes? I've always been into trainers but I always wore them, never "stocked" them. Besides, tastes change and inevitably they all rot and crumble anyway.

Because some pretty retarded beings can't fking tie their laces
(note. all people on PH who do this and have just been called "a pretty retarded being" are excused)

Resellers. For an example of just how serious a business it is, check out this Imgur album: https://imgur.com/a/sEcby

One of the guys on the /r/Sneakers subreddit estimated the first picture, with the Yeezy Boosts, would have close to $58,000 in profit assuming they all sold for the same price and were bought for retail. I remember an Instagram comment that they're "made for wearing, not for staring" and that perfectly encapsulates my view. Sure, I have some pairs I only break out occasionally, but I at least wear them.

It has a cleaner look than the laces resting atop the shoe but I don't do it because I appreciate the adjustability of laces too much. I'd say it's worth tucking tied laces in on something like a Converse All Star, just because the laces are too long to begin with.

All of mine get worn. I do, however, take into account the weather and what I'm doing to decide what I wear. Have a few beater pairs for winter and rainy days, then some that only come out if it's a dry day and no chance of going on a bender and getting them covered in beer/crap

laugh I've got a few pairs that are for wearing to football as you never really know what's going to happen after and a few for sessions that have the potential to get messy and also for crappy looking weather. It's not being precious about your trainers to not wear them if you can't guarantee they'll come back in a good state, I'd say that's just being smart.

Great thread

I'm partial to a nice pair of basketball boots ever since Channel 4 used to show basketball in the mid-90s and partly because they're/were a niche taste in the UK (bar Nike Dunks)

First ones I ever owned were Air Pennys which I got from independents. Exotic at the time as they were stocked by high street names. I actually wanted a pair of Jordan XI's but my budget couldn't quite stretch for a 15 year old's pocket money.

Air Raids are probably the favourite I've owned. Hard compound designed for outdoor B-ball and these were very hard wearing and durable.

Just picked a pair of Jordans from Nike Outlet

They're replacing Jordan Spizikes which were £35!

Anyone with boost can recommend a way of keeping it white would be appreciated, as I have a pair and they attract dust/dirt and are hard to clean!

Yes they are. I'm a maybe for these as got the reds and there's other bits I'd like to try and get before that. Cleaner/protector wise, SneakersER is supposed to be the best stuff to use

Quite a lot of Adidas fans in here.
Don't suppose anyone would be interested in the Adidas Stan Smith x 10 Deep collab from back in 2010?
I just pulled out some of my collection. Completely DS with all accessories too. Happy to sell at retail to someone on here.
