My wife has got some hand soap for the kitchen and it smells of Roses allegedly, I cant stand it, it makes me feel queasy, she cooked smoked fish Risotto and that was making me heave as she re-heated it from the microwave, smells like old folks home !

Weird ones I like, Dettol, JET A1/plane fumes in general, the dog, aged 944 interiors, wood smoke, Cigar smoke (in small doses), Solder, uncatalysed petrol engines.

Creosote. Whilst no longer available it takes me back to 5 years old, when dad painted his fences with it.

Love the smell of old cars. When I was at the Alexandra Palace show I poked my head into a Ferrari 400i - smelt wonderful. Then, a few weeks later at a restaurant in London, I ordered a Greek coffee. The grounds left in the cup smelt EXACTLY the same as the interior of that Ferrari! Also, the smell of F1 fumes at the 1990 British Grand Prix ... my cats heads (they smell like biscuit) ... the smell when you're opening a new Apple product's packaging ... Estée Lauder Pleasures ... a good French red wine, specifically the smell when you poke your nose back in the glass immediately after taking a sip ... Pizza ... Curry ... full English breakfasts ... sea air ... freshly cut grass ... freshly baked bread ... I could go on.

Dislike ... Tinned sweetcorn, cig smoke, diesel fumes, lilies when they start to turn (gives me a blinding headache).

Lavender.

I'm perfectly happy with the real thing, but can't bear lavender 'fragrance'. It's not the smell so much, but it seems to close my airways so I struggle to breathe.

Clunge, my knowledge of Inbetweeners and general slang vernacular means I know that means female genitalia.

So, get that bit, but where does the jogging come in ? does your significant other partake in running and doesnt get chance for a shower post exercise or are you the scourge of local female runners and their laundry baskets ?

And why love/hate ?

Anyway, I had it in mind that lady gardens would make an appearance early on biggrin

My missus is with you on the Omelette thing, she cant abide it but loves them, I am ambivalent to the smell mostly, but burnt egg isnt nice and occasionally you get it bang on and it smells great.

Smell is different to other senses it has a direct link to memories so it can trigger them easily, so I think a lot of smells and our reactions to them are formed early on and our state of mind at the time may have a bearing on how we react now.

Necrosis. Being brought up on a farm, and having worked in social hosing, it doesn't ever leave you.

On the plus side, a barbecue cooking, and the smell of a good malt.
Others include:
Rotting leaves in Autumn.
A "snow day" in the mountains.
Castrol R.
Wood smoke.
