any recommendations on good suppliers?
Mine came from here (following a recommendation on here funnily enough)

http://www.morgansofficefurniture.co.uk/

They were a bit dearer than ebay, but they claim to refurbish them, and it just felt like it was coming from somewhere that knew what they were talking about.

Both chairs are designed to promote a good posture rather than being 'comfy', a big over stuffed leather chair might be more comfortable for an hour or two but will be terrible for your back.
Not sure about this. They should be comfy. My Steelcase Please 2 is superbly comfortable. One of the best things I have ever bought.

These chairs do take some dialling though. Definitely shouldn't be digging in to the back of your legs.

Don't get me wrong, they are exceptionally comfortable but a different kind from a lazy boy.

Only drawback is that farts pass straight through.
Isn't that a benefit in that your chair doesn't end up with a putrid, and perhaps slightly damp, cushion?
Mine tend to be a) dry and b) smell delicious.

But in a mixed environment it's sometimes useful to have the sound of one's gaseous emissions damped by a cushion, and the odour produced released slowly smile
Injectile farting!

.....have you got the right size Herman Miller? Sounds as if you need the next size up.
I didn't know there were different sizes - is it marked on the chair somewhere?

Had mine for years but never thought it was amazing. I usually wear jeans and find I gradually slide off the seat!

I didn't realise how good these chairs were, until I worked from home all week recently and I now walk like an old man.

Yes, but very discretely. If you put your fingers under the top of the back of the backrest you'll feel bumps embossed in the middle. There will be one, two or three. One bump is an A size, two a B and three a C. (A is smallest, C the biggest).

I got an email about the sale of chairs (for some unknown reason) and highlighted that I am actually sat on an aeron.

I've been sat on an aeron for 6 weeks and can confirm it is the best office chair I have ever used.
