Classic Car meet this evening in Thurton

Hi all,

I just got pointed to a classic car meet happening this evening in the Thurton dip, on the A146 between Norwich and Beccles.

Not been before, but thought I'd pop along (albeit in a probably unsuitable 10 year old e63).

The weather is nice, it's at a pub, and there will be old cars. What's not to like on a Tuesday evening?

Yup, I was there with the RS4, and bumped in to a few us.
I spotted plenty more cars I recognised, but sadly didn't see the PHer owners!

E63 you say? I was drooling over that as your arrived. Gorgeous Designo interior and those wheels looked wonderful. Sadly I didn't see you again to ask for a proper look

I'll be back for sure as it's a great meet.

Good turnout, much interesting metal, will come again. Plenty of PH stickers on show. Was too busy chatting to old friends to get any photos, but will try to next time...

I saw your car there. Not sure I'd recognize you though, only met you once when you bought an MX5 engine off me in Bungay. That was a good few years ago...

That's the one, even washed it yesterday. Bloody thing is filthy again now after a damp drive to work this morning. Would be good to compare notes at some point - never been in an RS4. I'm back from Germany permanently now, so hope to become a regular again at events various. May bring the silly track/drift thing next time, assuming it's not broken again...

I went, but didn't take the car this time. Hopefully it will get even busier as the year goes on! Incidentally, I used to live directly next door to the pub, so its always nice to see whats been happening in the village in my absence!

This is my local but I couldn't make it last night. they started doing them last year, met Darren at the last one! Its going to be a regular thing every last Tuesday of the month through the summer! hopefully the new project will be finished by the April one!

Yes, I remember you were into your fast Merc estates.
I would not recognise you either I doubt mate. Did not know your were a PH'er when we met before.

I won't be in the country next weekend unfortunately, otherwise it would have been good to pop over, but I'll try to get to some events over the next few months. Booked in for Marham on the 22nd.

You came up in conversation a few days ago actually. My mate Pat said you were trying to fix an intermittent starting fault on his MX5. Small world...
