As things look now, good weather. The detail is not yet decided, so we can't rule out drizzle or a cool wind (depending on positioning of the high) - but the chances of an autumnal washout are currently low. My engagement party depends on your wisdom!

I took the kids to the beach in jumpers and wellies. 24° in the car on the way back.

Signs are generally positive, but there's an awful lot of ifs and buts. The b/h weekend now looks less optimistic than yesterday - should be dry in the south, but the north could see spells of rain. Very average - which is better than most of August. Puggit said:
