I'm going to be thoroughly dis-chuffed if it doesn't last to my birthday on BH Monday!

What's the forecast for Sunday/Monday up North?
Should I plan for a trip to North Yorks or the Lakes?

Unfortunately the weekend forecast is not nailed on yet - different models have different ideas. This is caused by a small area of low pressure to the west, and how close it gets to the UK could make a big difference.

Keep an eye on here and I'll update when it's clearer!

Becoming slowly clearer that the most likely evolution is we'll see a thundery breakdown on Saturday. Timing and locations are difficult.

Dull as ditchwater here in Port Solent today after yesterday's sun fest. Thank goodness for the sea breeze driving a little of the oppressive humidity away.

Looks like Thursday before I get to improve my tan over lunchtime again - which will be difficult to do fully suited and booted in Croydon I guess...

29 degrees possible in northern Scotland on Friday according to this:

Storm potential for Saturday hotting up, at this moment particularly for the SE.

Oh gawd, maybe just hot enough that the man-made heat traps of Heathrow and Gravesend Broadness might get near the 32.8C record from several other more reliable sites set in the 1940s.

We'll never hear the end of it from the global warmunists if these dodgy sites super heat again, with the help of a jetwash boost or some industrial plant outflow.

You need to hold Alt down and type in 0176 then let alt go and you'll get the º symbol. (Alt+0 for mac)
