After watching 'The Antisocial Network' it reaffirmed my belief that PH is 80% full of people on the spectrum.
And the other 30% on the Commodore 64.

You shouldn’t be allowed to have kids if you don’t meet certain criteria, horrific thing to say but I see so many kids being born in to chaotic situations where their fate is pretty much decided before they are born

Interesting topic, roads weren't build so you could take the wife and
kids to the seaside, trade and commerce , and for
getting foot soldiers to where they were needed.

I read a lot of useless information but I prefer to let others do the hard work.

I’ve spent more time than is healthy reading this site http://www.wesleyjohnston.com/roads/

Those foot soldiers are long gone. The roads still exist.

My unpopular opinion is that nimbys are detrimental to progress.

I think that vital infrastructure like roads, rails, airports, power stations etc should just be built and locals should be ignored. Fair enough to pay them out if their home has to be demolished but everyone else should be told to lump it, it’s happening, accept it. It’s for the greater good.

Case in point, HS2 is spending billions extra just to put part of the route in tunnels in the Chilterns that previously was planned to be overground. You want it in tunnels? Your council tax bill will now be 1000% more to help pay for it.
