I must know about this completely irrelevant event that I wasn't involved in!

Had the classic.

“Just saw the police, ambulance, forensics, SAS, blood and 4 dead bodies on the High ST. I hope all are ok?”

I exaggerate, they were rightly roasted.

Whatever reason, the attention seeking is just too much sometimes.

Stick a reply on stating she should be muzzled to shut her up.

Was all kicking off on Nextdoor the other day. Someone posted a picture of a delivery wagon parked blocking a kerb, which is what I thought the post was about. But no, the poster was angry because of the 'illegal' number plate. I couldn't work out what was illegal about it, and nor could someone else who asked in the comments. Apparently all HGVs and wagons need to have a square number plate, and this one was a standard car shaped one.

Lots of fuss in the comments how someone should do a check as if the number plate is illegal then the wagon probably won't be taxed, MOTd or insured. Slight disappointment when a local hero did a check and it came back both taxed, insured AND MOTd, but lots more fuss when they realised it was only registered as 'VOLVO..' without the actual model name and the MOT history didn't list the mileage, so it must be dodgy again.

A couple of people did point out that wagons can have standard number plates and they don't have to be square, but these claims were quickly shot down by the original poster because he 'drove wagons and they all had square plates'.

Ironically not one person commented on the bad parking!

The Electricity chopper is out and about so no doubt the usual what's going on questions will be asked along with random answers about white vans, gypos, missing cats and what time does ASDA open.

This popped up on one of my locals with some of the replies not having a problem with it, even saying things like..."maybe it's the only way she can get them to school"
I walked to school in all weathers, a journey that took approx 40mins
