A local mobile tyre fitter bloke I used for the Mumtruck last year was having his praises sung yesterday by a woman on the local neighbourhood FB page.

He has replied ‘happy to help’, and of course his profile is wide open for anyone to read. It mainly consists of posts about:

- Trump
- Antivax
- Brexit
- Stone Roses bucket hats
- Old skool BMX

Can’t fault him on the last one but why as a self employed local businessman in liberal Remainerville would you voice such opinions on an open public profile, the absolute halfwit!? He’s entitled to those opinions but they’re so opposed to so many people in our local community they are best kept to oneself, from a business perspective.

I immediately deleted his number from my phone, I’m now a former customer. The next bloke I use might be slightly right of Mussolini but as long as he STFUs on FaceyB I will be blissfully unaware and none the wiser!

It was more the question of why they've censored the plate.
I'd imagine its because the plates are cloned
Probably because “GDPR”, same reasons all the papers and TV shows obscure plates (and shop names & road signs).

Excellent story - scroat on illegal e-scooter briefly escapes copper and then assaults them, CCTV operators send backup and the little sh*t is nicked.

Quite!

And then, right on queue, this moron appears, showcasing all that’s wrong with society:

Why should anybody care?! rolleyes

I think that says more about you than him, to be fair.

Tyre fitter interests wouldn't bother me in the least. I am not going on holiday with him. Why on earth delete him?

I can understand it. It's not an enticing prospect to deal with a nutter. I looked at a car a few years ago and saw that the dealer was a flat earther. I decided to move on.

It's the mindset of the liberal leftie type who are perpetually offended by anything they don't agree with and so the person or 'thing' must be cancelled / deleted. It's rampant everywhere now/ I'm no fan of Trump nor any other politician as they're all corrupt asf, but you're hiring the bloke on his ability to fix whatever it is you need fixing, and that's it.

Apparantly my last response to this was too honest and the over-zealous PH mods didnt like it - but the point still stands.

Do they do good work?
Do they charge reasonably?
Can they work within your timeframe?

Thats all that matters.

You are being a cotton-headed ninny muggins about this, everything else is totally irrelevant.

(I do hope thats softened enough)

If he'd refused to work on your vehicle because of your views on those topics, would that have been reasonable of him?

This. The guy who paints my cars for me is a complete loon who thinks the government are out to get him & gets on the bag so he can pull all-nighters in his unit painting (probably because he wastes so much time watching conspiracy theories on Youtube hehe) but he does a good job at a good price so why should it bother me?

Somebody wants some flooring laying and asking for recommendations.

Makes a point of saying "Cash Waiting". Presumably proving that they are able to pay a tradesman?

The implication is that the VAT can be circumnavigated.

Not really though.

Hypothetically would you be equally comfortable if it was an a previously convicted (now rehabilitated) paedo if they met you 3 criteria?

If I knew someone was a racist for example, I wouldn’t want to deal with them.

Do you realise how gammon you sound?!

Yes. Rehabilitation exists for a reason. If someone has served their conviction what’s the issue here? Hold grudges for life when punishment is long completed? Total idiocy.

Peoples personal views should not come into business transactions. They’re transactions for a reason, I’m not saying become best mates with them.

Get real, so many clown comments from you. Rehabilitation or not, I’d rather walk 100 miles than do business with a paedo or known racist. You obviously on the other hand it seems would hire one to be a babysitter if they were cheap enough ffs.
