I was at college with a guy who's surname was Carr. He was known in the class as Wan as well.

The 1970’s.

The teacher was Mr Carr.

One of the more “right-on” teachers let it be know that his Christian name was Wayne.

At classroom changing times the corridors would ring out with the refrain of WayneCarr.
