Conspiracy theorists... are they all just a bit thick?
Discussion
There's been a conspiracy theory about rap artists in the USA being controlled by execs who make them do some pretty unsavory acts which results in certain people being promoted and others demoted for not "following the line".
Now it seems there was elements of truth to it with raids on people's house etc.
Would this fit as an actual conspiracy theory or just rumors coming true?

It really depends on a case by case basis. When you say execs, do you mean board members within the company that the rap artist works for? And that they are asking them to create content that works a certain way? As always details and context matter. Now it seems there was elements of truth to it with raids on people's house etc.

A conspiracy is usually something that is fundamentally made up with no substance or credible evidence (usually replaced with out of context anecdotal media articles) and presented as the truth, and most importantly usually there is an underlying agenda associated with it and the person presenting it. A rumour, in my mind, is just idle gossip with a much less reliance on that underlying agenda.

Was that bridge a key strategic target then? If so, why?
I guess it would be as 200 million dollars of trade passes through there on a very frequent basis. Look at the issues the Panama canal caused with supply chains.I am not a believer by the way. Nothing more than a ship crashing.
So what terrorist organisation are they laying the blame at? Given they seem to have a lot of information on it

Is that a conspiracy theory, or a description of how some of the entertainment industry (unfortunately) appears to work? See Harvey Weinstein, “casting couches”, etc…Now it seems there was elements of truth to it with raids on people's house etc.

There is something quite frightening about someone in as senior a position of authority as a former Republican candidate for Governor of Georgia posting this on X:
posting this on X:
And the cops conveniently stopped cars just moments before the ship slammed into it?
And y’all are on here saying this is conspiracy stuff?
And the bridge is named after the author of our National Anthem?
Come on, now.
Without stopping to consider the alternative possibility that during the two minutes the ship's crew realised they were likely to hit the bridge, they called a Mayday, anbd the police and authorities at either end of the bridge did their job and stopped traffic from joining the bridge.
Supposedly she also believes in a flat earth, but how difficult is it to believe that if you are piloting a huge ship and radio for help, people who are in a position to do so are going to respond to that call and do whatever they can in the time available to intervene and prevent an even bigger disaster? Goodness knows how bad those officers must be feeling for the loss of the road repair team, let alone how they would be feeling if they knew a politician is effectively claiming their existence is part of a conspiracy theory?

So are her ? marks in her tweet her 'just asking questions' - what if she doesn't like the answers. What about the release of the first responder recording, will she be satisfied with that or does she have an underlying agenda with her 'questions' where she only wants one outcome that aligns with her pre-disposition on the matter...posting this on X:

“Just asking questions” or JAQing off, stock in trade for CTs. Note they are never actually interested in the answers, it’s a method to installing doubt into their audience.Brother D said:

I saw on TikTok some guy pointing out that you can see flames when the bridge collapsed and it was obviously thermite. Other commented it was power cables snapping, high tensile cables breaking and/or whipping the metal structure, but no, thermite. Has to be thermite.
It is always thermite.
Or it just could have been a massive ship hitting a weak point.
No, thermite. Inside job.
I really believe that most of these conspiracy nuts are anything but. They just do it to appeal to the hard of thinking and make money from it. They do not for one second believe what they write. Alex jones springs to mind.

It’s exactly that. Details are still being recovered, facts established, witnesses spoken to. Yet some people believe they can just go on twitter and infer what’s happened as if they are somehow in the know.
From the publicly available information we can see smoke coming from the ship and an electrical failure, it then veered towards the support.
