As a frequenter of the F1 pages on this forum one of the few posters names I recognise is carlo996. In my opinion he makes a lot of the threads utterly unreadable with his obvious trolling.

I'm sure he thinks of it as sport to be winding other people up and will blame others for not allowing "his different opinion" but he really spoils a lot of PH content unfortunately.

Not the only one in the F1 threads of course, we had a similar member called T16 or some such but it seems to be par for the course now F1 has gotten even more popular and attracted the more partisan crowd.
It's quite clear he just wants a reaction from people by calling them lonely, stalkers or toffs in the boat thread. Anything to wind people up and then say 'it's just opinion'. Whatever turns him on.
Ah that's a shame, I didn't realise he interacted on the whole site (I don't obviously!). I've generally stopped posting on PIAP's excellent GP threads because of him and a very select few others.

Don’t know what it is with the F1 sub-forum. There must be something in the water over there but sometimes it makes NP&E look like a kindergarten in comparison. Even the football forum knows when to dial it down a notch.

Places where it is easy to get a ban on PH -

F1
NP+E

Neither if which I venture into much.

I used to post around 2000-2003. Got threatened with notes left on my car, had a difficult divorce from an alcoholic and thought it best to read and not post. There are and have been some very toxic people on here. There have also been some good posters who have been banned because they 'bit' and others that decide to walk. I can remember the bloke who 'found' a TVR at the bottom of his lane. The fraud who said they were a trans female (turns out we have a real one here now), the weirdo who posted in broken English and German (also outed as a multi account fraud) and many others. A bloke called Pwig hasn't been seen for ages. Haven't seen Lowdrag for a while (although I know him personally) or Boss Cerbera (who I also know).

In short, not everyone who is 'recent' is a returning banned poster. Although I imagine it's a simple enough process.

Oh, I absolutely get that not all new posters are returnees. However, the one who has popped up on this thread is either a returnee and loves to just create an issue or is new and has no qualms about upsetting people/threads just for the kicks.

Regardless, it’s low brow and doesn’t add anything positive.

Is Wiccan of Darkness still about? I always enjoyed his / her contributions; almost like a reincarnation of Derestrictor.

There was a post from WoD some years ago, whereby the phrase, 'and it all ends up like a room full of chimpanzees flinging st at each other' was used hehe

The self appointed gatekeepers on the F1 forum are just as tiresome as the ones who pop up with an alternative viewpoint on there. Especially the ones who mistakenly seem to think they have been watching the sport the longest.

Same with certain threads. There are posters who think they ‘own’ a thread and will try to shoo off anyone who doesn’t post in line with their wants, even to the point of petty nitpicking.

Guess who I’m thinking of ?

I'm a life long F1 fan but gave up on that sub-forum ages ago. Full of tedious partisan nonsense.

Shame as it used to be good a few years ago.

I don't know who you have in mind, but similar happens in the TVR area. Unless you 'fit' you're bullied off.

In theory, it shouldn't be like that, but it's easier to just avoid than anything else.

That's about right. I rarely pop in but not a lot has changed when I do. They're all as bad as eachother.

The entire forum is Carlo throwing turds and the Asia bloke and Guitar bloke acting as the self-appointed expert F1 double act who've been watching since 1746, but who also can't stop catching the turds because they secretly enjoy the warm feeling on their hands. NP&E but with wheels biggrin

Talking of which what has happened to C70R the man who could start a fight in an empty room and thought the was the only person on PH who’s opinion on London was of consequence, slagging off anyone he thought didn’t live in London, all while posting about his home and life in Norfolk !

He's had a few pops at me come to think of it. Nasty.

Not been seen since his last post on Feb 7th in the Christian Horner thread. Good.
