Oh dear, Byker. Just what you didn't want to hear.

Has she really thought matters through?

And have you invoiced her employers for all of your work on the "company supplied" Touran?
I imagine the total bill for parts and labour is quite hefty.
If I were you, I would impound the vehicle until the bill is settled! evil

She had a meeting this morning, shes been put on 'gardening leave' for a month but they'll pay her, however kids can't go back either, so she needs to get them into the local school nursery.

She went armed with texts from the previous Touran owner saying the car was going to be scrapped so she might as well have it if I could fix it, that she didn't want any money for it etc so when presented with that they had to back down biggrin

I'd been having conversations about things found in the car that were theirs, asking about issues and anything I'd missed...

They also had a second key, which she'd been told they didn't have, which is how they'd been taking her car without permission...

So all sorted ish, although she has a month to find a new job and has to find new nursery places

It sounds like they've been taking the proverbial out of her for some time Byker.

Well after 5hrs of talking to 12/13 year olds I left the school and went all the way to the hospital only to find out that the ward was in lockdown due to a recent outbreak of sickness and diarrhea, so I drove all the way back home and managed to convince myself to get my bike out and go for a ride, 4 minutes into it I received a call from the hospital about what's going on with my dad!!!
I did complete a ride. Only half an hour's worth, but better than nothing.

Word of the day (WOD): Berserk

In Norse mythology Berserk was a fearless warrior who fought in a savage frenzy, spurning armour, he wore only a bearskin coat! Must've been a bit chilly in the nether regions???

Actuarlee, you're referencing a nother bloke who may/may not be the same Scandinavian hero, who refused to wear iron mail whilst behaving quite belligerent on the battle field.

By coincidence, I'm having a pint in The Trancelike Fury.

And, by the bye, the landlord knows how to look after his pipes.

Pedant mode continues: For odd reasons that we don't need to go into here, I am yer actual Norwegian speaker. (Channeling Julian and Sandy - if you know, you know).
Berserk and berserker are traceable from Old Norse to modern Norwegian and translate broadly as "Bear Shirt"..
It might surprise the unwary how much of modern English is derived from old Scandinavian dialects.
This is especially true in Scotland. And anywhere that has a place name ending in "by"
Selby, Enderby, etc. "By" was and still is the Norse word for town.
I could go on but even I am bored now.
I think I'll go and do the dishes. That'll be fun.

We're in Ullapool at the moment old boy, it's that far up I've almost lost my bearings.

Thankfully, the old Jaguar hasn't. It's been a lovely journey so far cloud9
