Just made it. I think I grabbed Bobbers glider by mistake and the weight was set all wrong. I've been airborne for about 20 hours....

or in reality got a call from work and told to report to a client, which meant a 3 hour dash back today...
I did wonder why I was barely airborne before crash landing in the rose garden!!! grumpy

Okay, so you're not one to gamble.
What do you expect us to do for you?

I'm betting that you want us to give up our ill-begotten habits?

Well, half a crown says you won't find any co-operation from the Residents here.
Especially from the Brigadier. He enjoys the odd flutter, it's the only thing that keeps him going really. Well, that and the brandy and port.
I was wondering what to have with my battered haddock. When I have pie I have it with mash, but I do make gravy. I don't make gravy with fish.

In other news, my son and I seem to have caused ourselves some mischief moving my wife’s grandfather’s old steamer trunk. Nobody told us it was tropics-spec zinc lined! And I guess we are not as fit as thirties’ stevedores.

Time for a very hot shower and the application of some horse embrocation…

I've just had a shave, well, I say shave, it's more just using the clipper attachment on my razor at its lowest setting to leave very short stubble, but I've noticed it's taking longer to do it and when I actually use the razor part it's not very good any more, might be time for a new one, but deciding what one could be quite the task!!!

The IRS have emailed again.

Your Refund Available to Claimmed. Refund Number:28369937

My 'refund available to claimmed' has increased to $26,750.

I'll call our international arm, Anecdotes Sans Frontières, to see if they can throw any light on the matter.

I've just lit the blue touch paper on a large firework and launched it into the discussion by adding to your comment whistle
I have to say though, the comment made by the poster that we both responded too, is somewhat of a pompous berk.*

* this is part of a concerted effort to be nicer, use less offensive language and also to stop swearing as much.

I’m not sure I believe that last bit, ‘berk’ being, as you well know, rhyming slang for a most offensive swear wordbiglaugh!

Let them have both barrels (or just the one in my case)

fk the fking lot of 'em. fking fkers they are.

Incidentally, talking about swearing, old Dibble came out with one that tickled me. I think it was on the breakfast thread:

"fking sticles" hehe

Tattoo? confused
Is it supposed to be some meaningful life ethos in the form of a bit of Chinese calligraphy?
