Yes Bobbers I have residency here. Passport cost was more due to my overseas application and postage.
My youngest had to renew his recently, and it was the courier cost on top to get it to Belgium because otherwise Belgium post can be slow/unreliable

I'm sat watching an estate car trying to get into a parking spot that is 4 inches bigger than the car.
I think we're back in Paris. Reversed in, touch drove forward touch, back and forth 20 times to get the car in with a slight touch on cars either side each time.

Now because his wife has said he's 8 inches from the kerb, he's repeated it all to get out and drive off...

Gude Moaneve Trivial Weekenderers! wavey

Here we are once more with a whole brand new day to do as we please whatever Erin Dawes dictates.

Today I'll be mostly Moe DeLorne & Gert Weeden.
The grass is knee-high and the rampaging Lion's Teeth are in dire need of pulling out.
At least the ground is soft, despite this interminable drought. rolleyes
And my wisteria has finally taken pity on me and deemed to sprout a few token but rather pathetic bracts of blossom after almost eight (8) years of careful nurturing, pruning and feeding with various concoctions and admixtures of recommended nutrients.
I'm over the Moon, 'Arry!
Know wot I mean, 'Arry?

But first I need my Haribo Starmix and Weetabix to set me up for the mammoth tasks ahead.
If I have sufficient oomph remaining, there are countless sycamore shoots to prune back to a sensible height with my extendable lopper.
In my mind, all of my efforts will be a Masterclass in Haughty Culture.
In reality, it will be some daft and puny old codger fighting a losing battle against the relentless forces of nature..
scratchchin Why do we put ourselves through this pointless exercise time after time?

Because that's what she thinks she wants... wink

Hilarious, two mins after the estate car leaves, the black car in front gets in his car and leaves, huge space now biggrin

I'm so lazy I just pay the underground parking fees which is 30 secs away. It means I can do shuttle runs to the car with beer, without having to carry too much

I'm taking Battert to jousting at Trivington Castle. Yes, it's unlike him to accept help but he insists on going in full armour to preserve his modesty at the show ground.

nono

He has deliberately filled the car with hiffy equipment, to the point where there is no space for luggage. This is so that, when he and Mrs Bobbers spend time away, their luggage goes separately.

A gentleman's luggage always precedes him.
Mrs Bobbers refuses to travel long distances in Ivor after we took him to Cornwall last year, she's accepted she'll have to travel in him for the GITTBWG (Great Inaugural Trivial Towers Buxton Weekend Gathering) in June, but for holidays she insists on taking Peanut, therefore boot space became irrelevant!

Gud moaning chaps, chapesses and others.

A sunny weekend has dawned, albeit after some overnight rain, of which more is forecast. Hosepipe ban by June, I expect.

Nothing actually planned for the weekend, but I'm sure that somebody will be along shortly to change that. I'm going out for a walk, so I can be out if anybody comes round requiring assistance with anything. Might wash the Golf later, see if I can fit that in between lunch and the Quins game on tv.
There's no Post Office Horizon Enquiry to while away the afternoons until Tuesday, so I suppose I could consider that as a nopportunity to get some stuff done. If I could be bothered.

Have a good weekend, all!

Good morrow fellow Trivialities everywherewavey
Aahhhhh Saturday, here you are at last!!!
Thanks for the reminder hammo19, but just where is Bomma?!?!

Well as it's Saturday that means cleaning, changing the bed clothes, shopping and lunch out, this will be followed by most of the rest of the day pissing around with various electronic devices for various reasons, including but not limited to, updating the antivirus software on 5 things, end of month accounts on 1 thing, emails concerning my dad's pension payments on 1 thing, and attempting to update Ivor's satnav again to 2023!!!

Congratulations hammo19 on the golf, it sounds like you're really enjoying it again!!

It could sit and watch people's parking attempts for hrs Byker, some people really shouldn't have a licence.

nono I distinctly recall you saying that that space had been left to install the Garrard 401 turntable when the gimbal mechanism for it finally arrives on the slow boat from China.
