Only for Spain, who named this storm as they are getting the brunt of it.
Not sure it works like that.

Spain named the storm because of the affect it is having on them.

For the UK its just a low pressure system creating a bit of stormy weather, not named storm worthy so we don't adopt its name.

In the same way we get plenty of named ex-hurricanes but they are just low pressure systems for us.

Glad we haven't got any plans for the weekend. Most roads out of our village are blocked due to floods.

Was searching on google for a couple of things last night, the searches were maybe an hour apart.

Where it comes up with popular searches, the first one both times was "assisted suicide"

"Someone's seen the weather forecast for next week" was my first thought...

Beautiful stunning sunny day here in Deeside. As the locals say, our summer is usually March and April - must make the most of it as it’s forecast to be like this all weekend. Woohoo!

Sun, clouds and almost warm today in South West London.

Except for this morning, walking the dog in Richmond Park when I got soaked by a passing cloud.

Wednesday was mad here.
Around 3pm we had some kind of mini tornado whipping up and lots of stuff blowing around the garden along with hail.

Today had new windows and doors and amazingly sunny all day until about 2pm when it was torrential rain again. Luckily there were finished.
Reckons we have had 3x the normal March rainfall already.

Drove to Glasgow this afternoon in largely bright sunshine to be greeted by torrential downpour and heavy hail.. clear now, but chilly. Hoping, if not confident April is better.
