As of today, April 9th we've had 464mm of rain this year (18.27 inches). Last year first six months - 456mm (17.95 inches).

More rain coming later today... grumpy

Saturday evening in Shropshire, around 8.45/9pm we had 10 minutes of almighty rain and wind. Anyone else in the area experience it?

About 10 minutes of violent wind and rain and then just stopped immediately. My garden furniture had been blown all over the Patio! If a Tornado had gone through the garden I wouldn't have been shocked laugh

ETA: Currently pissing it down again and has been constantly since 9pm last night banghead

Decent storm passed over last night around 10pm in Yorkshire. Some large puddles on the roads this morning and the ponds in the farmers fields topped back up after some decent evaporation with all that wind we had.

Never ending.

I've got some brakes I've been refurbing on the kitchen table. They've been there a good month waiting for a dry few hours to get outside to paint them.

Flooding in West Kirby

Flood wall gates closed.

Flooding stopped, gates still closed, water trapped on the wrong side!

Out on a walk.

2-3 minutes it's like a glorious cool summer's day. With direct sunshine and lovely stable weather.

Then a cloud comes and it's freezing, followed by a gust of wind

I have to keep taking my sun glasses off every two minutes

The left sea is the right sea. The right sea is not the right sea. It should not be a sea.

See?

I made the school boy error today of trusting the forecast….

I had to make a trip into Edinburgh, and I always use my motorbike if the weather is half decent as the traffic is generally appalling. The band of rain wasn’t forecast to hit East Lothian until after lunch so I went for for, only to get soaked on the way home. I normally check the last six hours (actual) radar as it generally gives you a better idea of what is coming rather than the actual forecast, which is odd! Like many people, I am absolutely sick of this rain, and it’s cold!
