Sun is out, sky is blue - house is cold but I haven't turned the heating on (yet?). Met Office saying a heady 14 degrees (BBC saying 17...).

It feels like Spring is back.

It's 9 degrees. My kids is out sailing. I'm cold in my big coat.
What you fail to mention is that it's not a lake they are sailing on, it's your back garden after the overnight rain smile
clap

It's actually the Solent rather than a lake, bit funny still.

Just heard ITV telling me the 3 month outlook is warmer than normal but wetter than normal. So that's fairly useless for any outdoors fun, but at least the heating won't be on. FFS.

Kind of the reason we invested in an outdoor cabin (and painted it in Norwegian cabin paint!). So we can enjoy wet and warm summers 'outdoors' rofl

Yes I'm starting to think about some sort of covered outdoor area for the BBQ.......would actually be quite happy sitting outside on some sort of deck area with the rain pouring and the sausages sizzling......

I really wish the rain would bugger off. If its not going to then at least some warmth will be welcome.

Its a bit warmer today but I am still debating about having the heating on for a bit as the house is a little chilly. Its nearly May FFS. Sun is sporadically out, but not enough to sufficiently warm the house.

I hope we will be rewarded later in the year with a decent summer, but based on what we have had the last 18 months I wont hold my breath

Hoping for a cool, damp summer here because:

1 - I don't like heat.

2 - My next door neighbour has just hard landscaped his entire (postage stamp of a) garden (grey paving, grey gravel, grey fence paint) and is today setting up huge amounts of "indoors outdoors" furniture, has also installed colossal (grey) bi-fold doors and a huge stereo, and their kid has a blasted baskteball hoop.

Long may it rain and blow a gale, otherwise the inevitable noise pollution is going to drive me spare. Modern suburban life is rubbish.

Is that the Grim North where most don't bother with 'indoors outdoors' furniture?

Today might be the first day I could consider working from the garden. We shall see…..

No it's where we can afford for it not to be a problem without requiring pop star wages.

Feels like the first day the winter thread is no longer relevant.

Blue skies and sunshine. Not warm yet, pretty windy but I'll take it!

Calm down lads, I'm a Jock out of water. colin_p moved to Chesterfield, nobody's going to convince me that ain't the definition of grim!

(All in jest for the avoidance of doubt.)

Lovely warm sunny morning here. Nice breeze too, perfect for tumble dryer avoidance.

I'm in Chester and it's fooking freezing. Cold wind, got my hoody pulled up over my head.
