THE Mornington Crescent Thread

I think it was Barry Chuckle (obviously not the one from the Chuckle Brothers) who told me as a young man that after a break in play it would always be a smart move to invoke the little known Pott Shrigley Reversion. Which as I'm sure you have already worked out takes us to Canary Wharf, via the rather rickety DLR no less.

Since everybody is playing jokers here, can I ask if it legal to play my migration card to get from Canary wharf to St Pancras?
If Covent Garden was fully in play, it might be - but since CG is currently "offload only", you'll have to go via Waterloo and throw a treble to activate jokers.Meanwhile, in another part of the wood, Knightsbridge.
Thank god that's over. I haven't seen such a devastating and well hidden booby trap since the Great Interruption of 1908, when the late, and little lamented, Catchpole Trubshaw accidentally trod on High Barnet when it wasn't his turn and placed the whole playing arena into suspended animation for something like 150 turns.
We'd better ease ourselves back in gently (Samantha).

Will there be any celebrations or rule amendments for this thread's tenth birthday next month?
Well, once you amateurs finish mucking around with the Pleistocene, I suggest we repair to the Natural History Museum for a brief interlude (using the Picadilly Procession as per the 1929 Trubshaw revisions), then use the Circle Line Accelerator* to slingshot via Euston onto the Northern Line, after which we'll only be a short hop from M-C itself.* Yes, it's a Leap-Year, I checked that already - Fotherington-Smythe doesn't apply.

Widdershins! (you forgot about the full moon exception).* Yes, it's a Leap-Year, I checked that already - Fotherington-Smythe doesn't apply.
Now - if someone knows who has the whiffling spoon we can progress sensibly to Arnos Grove and get on with a proper game.

St. Wendy's day and still no sign of the whiffling spoon ?
I invoke Knutt's reciprocating obfuscator and call for an immediate substitutiary locomotion to commence at Hounslow East.
i've released the whiffling spoon, recalling Morton's convention and tubman's ruling of 1958, i'll slide north in a long walnut up the Far north line to Georgemas junction via Altnabreac. Backed in a corner with nowhere to go.I invoke Knutt's reciprocating obfuscator and call for an immediate substitutiary locomotion to commence at Hounslow East.
it's a foolhardy gambit, but i'm intrigued to see how it plays out.

I'm fairly sure SHC was outlawed after the hoohaa created by Bertram 'Auguste' Fosbery-Gussett when he set himself and the Reichstag ablaze in 1933; inadvertently helping to create the thousand year reich was judged by the rules committee to be a bad show.
East Ham.
Sorry, you cannot resurrect the Bertram folly after 50 years has passed by. East Ham.
