If you do find a Mercedes of 1930's vintage with a case marked 'Case of Nazi Gold' in the boot, its mine and I want it back. It's not Nazi Gold, its a box of magazines. I swear. Very heavy, golden magazines.

This is what you need to move things along a bit more swiftly.Withams have some in stock, and they are not that costly............hehe

But delivery to Jersey may cost a fair bit!

I reckon the best way to move the boulder is to let Rod Rammage have a go with Miss Surrey on it then it'll be sure to move.

I'll have a pint of whatever you've had.

In fact make it a half.

I was wondering, but think it's the bit on the right. If you squint. With your screen upside down. While doing narcotics. Underwater.

Just a quick update....

I took a few pictures just now, having swept a little more dirt off the part of the entrance we exposed....

(1)"the boulder"... i'm growing quite fond of it..

(2)view of the boulder blocking the part of the entrance that we uncovered

(3)depth of the roof of the entrance under the soil to one side

(4) the granite trough that we dug up when digging "practise holes" (still needs a wash)

(6) a jar found at the same location

(7) the holly tree which unfortunately had to be sacrificed from the shrubbery

On a more productive note, a friend of mine is on his way round to see if we can stick some sort of camera through the rocks around the tunnel entrance smile

I was going to ask about this kind of thing earlier.

Excellent news.

Are you able to fund this excavation indefinitely? I do hope so.
