Are you planning on selling this stuff? If so can I please please buy the jar??! I have a thing about jars like that. And mugs... (and if you think thats bad, ask Gretchen about pegs LOL) and tins.... and boxes...
Nazi Pegs...yikes

Do you think there might be? I'll be booking with Aurigny if there are. They will feel my wrath.
Will it be ok if they are in alphabetical order?

I think there will be at least one paint tin and some carpet. There's always paint and carpet.
yes and some bits of wood that "might come in handy one day"
Historians have been positively negligent in their overlooking of the decisive lack of handy sticks available to the third reich and the part that played in Adolf's final downfall.

A lesson for us all.

It is really more a boy thing. But (and ive not read it all yet) the idea of finding something new and exciting burried in your garden is brilliant. Men love a distraction from real life and the idea of exploring ones garden for wartime stuff sounds like a perfect way to do just that.

I want an interesting garden, may start digging tomorrow.

Oh and don't worry that you dont get it, some blokes won't either.

Most men are just big boys with bigger more expensive toys. We like to play and explore and combining this with big toys makes a good thread.

My GF doesn't understand either so don't feel bad. The situation is that what we have here is a huge bunker/tunnel and it's not been opened in a long time. We just don't know what's in it, well we know there will be carpet and paint but apart from that there could be anything.
One brave sole has taken it upon himself to uncover the mysteries that lie beneath.

There could be monsters, tanks, beer, crazy things, we just don't know. It's the the unknown that makes it exciting.

i bet you don't like Indiana Jones/james Bond films either?

imagine if it were a secret wardrobe that was bricked up inside a spare bedroom in a house you had bought.

This wardrobe, legend has it was full of the most exquisite shoes. They were so nice the owner didnt want anyone else to ever wear them.

You have bought the house and just found something odd, there should be another room and you can see recent brick work. somebody in the village has told you of the legend of the shoes.

you think you may have found the opening.

Appreciate all guys trying to explain. Still do not get it.

Must be somthing in the female psyche that makes me unable to see whats remotely interesting about the subject of this thread.

But the fact that so many men find it absolutely fascinating is why I am drawn in and watch the thread.wink

Does this mean you want to be a man? Maybe you give sickman a shoutwink. Would you be excited if your house has an old tunnel bricked up in the garden? This is like an adventure story from when we were kids and (as im sure you know) men never really grow up and we love anything that reminds me of childhood.

Also every guy on this thread wants a secret bunker under their lawn and they are envious (me included).

Ok, let's say one of your friends has just had a baby, it's all cute and stuff. Once you have seen it all you can think about is having one for yourself.
It's kind of if not exactly the same as that.
