I love the way the previous owner balanced a mahoosive boulder precariously infront of the concealed entrance ready to overbalance and crush any unsuspecting adventurers. smile

Reminds me of something!

However I do have one question.. Do you need to inform the council what you're doing?

My wife was actually fairly excited too once I'd explained, and was more annoyed that I hadn't waited for her to be there. Her first comments were...

"So you haven't been at work today then?" followed by "They don't leave things very tidy do they?"

The latter comment may also have had something to do with the "practice" holes we dug in another part of the garden, so as to get a hang of operating the digger smile
"Practice holes" - Genius biggrin

How did that conversation with work go then?

"Hi, I won't be coming in today. No, nothing wrong, I'm just going to dig a huge whole in my garden looking for a buried tunnel."

Come on man, they weren't practice holes! "Those love are to sink the new pond into you were saying you'd love. Thought I'd get the important bit done first you know." "Oh, you didn't want a new pond there? Ahh, oh well, I’ll fill it in when I’ve just done this..."

I missed that. There is genius in his work, it has to be admitted.

Who the hell responds to "I have a Nazi bunker in my garden!" with "Wow, nice Range Rover, I've got an MX5"?

Brilliant.

First thread on PH I've book marked (although that is partly cos I've never noticed the button before...)

Very Indiana Jones - you even have a large, roughly spherical boulder to roll down the hill after you (or possibly just 'into the MX5'). All you need now is a whip and an annoying Chinese kid for plucky comic relief.
