The childish comments since, however, are not worth getting your knickers in a twist over.
No, it's worth having those tattooed without a twist.

I'm up for debating about tattoos but to be honest the last page has just been insulting and rude. Lesson learnt, I shall keep my tattoos to myself in future.
Oh come on, it's just a bit of fun. No one meant to upset you.

I'm very sorry if you were genuinely upset by my comments.frown

Don't do that mate. I for one have enjoyed seeing your progress. When I first posted pics in this, or the previous thread, I got loads of pisstaking from CVM, and others. Just one of those things on an open forum, especially when tattoos are the subject matter.

Moobs. As has been said, not the most flattering pic. A better pic would help.

Johnny....you seeming like a tattoo guru i wonder if you would enlighten an ignoramus?

With a good tattoos artist i would image the first pre requisite is his/her ability to draw. Also I guess imagination is important but what about things outside of the individuals talent?

Are there level of ink that varies in price? Also how much does the artists gear impact the longevity of the tattoo?

What comeback would one have if the job was poor or started to blur quite quickly?

To me as an outsider it seems like an unregulated business at the moment. I wonder with the take off in popularity will we start seeing more botches and infections etc that start making the news etc.a bit like the tanning salons did

Tbh, I don't like your tattoos, but why would you care what I or a load of other nobodies on the internet think. Being insulted on the internet is like being hissed at by a stray cat in the street. You notice it, walk on, and forget about it 10 seconds later.

Exactly why I dont post mine...

Anything posted in the lounge of late descends into insults very quickly these days.

PH is in a sorry state compared with the past.

Thanks Haymarket.

Not sure I'm a guru, but happy to try and answer...

I looked for ages to find the right person & style. Of course being a good artist is needed, but it has to be someone that can realise your ideas. If I'm honest, Kamil's design for my first sleeve was nothing like I had envisaged, but I loved it and how his mind worked with my ideas. By the second sleeve I was pretty much happy to let him get on with it...

WRT inks, Kamil uses and is sponsored by Intenze inks. They seem great, colours are long lasting and still vibrant. I'm there right now and, having not seen him for 2 years, he was really happy with how mine are and how the colours have held up. The inks are £25 each and there are probably 150-200 on the shelf as I look. I just asked and other inks are maybe £15-20.

As for comeback - a good artist should sort any issues out. Not everyone uses good artists. You get what you pay for, Kamil charges £150/hour...

No idea about regulation, but like anything I'm sure there are lots of rules, and lots getting broken.

It is a regulated industry, sadly it's regulated by each local council so standards vary.

Thankfully though our council seem to be pretty on the ball so our studio and others are to a higher standard,

Don't always be fooled by the price per hour either, I've seen some shocking work for high hourly rate.

Best thing to do is research, research, research, don't just go for the one at the end of the road for convenience,

Johnny is right Intenze ink is one of the best.

It was inevitable.
All the pups from the Corsa, Clio et al sites where it is cool to be cold, harsh and insult people for the LOLs have got a bit older, got a different car and come on here where they continue to do the same.

No problem.

FT added some good points too, and would be in a better position than me to comment, with his Mrs being a tattooist.

I booked a 4 hour session with Kamil for mid September, planning on getting my right armpit done. I'm hurting already, just thinking about it.

This is what my friend was having work done on yesterday, and what has got me all itchy and keen for more ink again
