I'll probably keep going until I'm fully covered, it's only my current line of work that keeps me from expansing onto 'public' skin - the diamond goes unnoticed. I really want a big throat piece though.
Some interesting and good work there. I wonder, what do you do for a living, following your last comment? The diamond looks a bit 'low rent' (sorry) vs the rest of your stuff.I'll probably keep going until I'm fully covered, it's only my current line of work that keeps me from expansing onto 'public' skin - the diamond goes unnoticed. Agreed... it looks like your cellmate done it. It doesn't really fit in with the obvious quality work elsewhere.austinsmirk said:
come on PH'rs, two weeks and no one has made a joke about seaman on his chest ?
I like that one.Cheers for the comments, I kinda agree about the thumb diamond, it was done as a sort of 'meh...' moment. I might get it blacked out.
I work in highways design for a company on behalf of Highways England. So it's predominantly a shirt & tie office job. I was originally in a 3-man team and we spent at least half the week out on site or driving, so they were never an issue, but we transferred contracts via TUPE last year and now my role is 95% office.
So it's still not an issue and I've never been asked to cover any up, even with my ear lobe (26mm) I've never had any negative comments, just curiosity. Might be a different story if I had to interview for this role rather than transferring under contract law, but I'm not really 'high up' enough for it to be an issue, I still wear black pumps, jeans and the company polo around the office, even to meetings with suppliers / contractors who've never minded, so I guess I'm lucky in that respect.
Ha: well what I can say say is its jolly nice artwork- and nice to see something different.
personally I've have none and never will- not my thing.
I'm tempted to say you could finish it off with a lavish pirate, or of course Captain Pugwash for the comedic effect.
joking aside, have a google for a children's book called the "pirate cruncher" beautifuly drawn and some amazing artwork.

the pirate cruncher and the pirates next door.
although maybe childrens cartoons aren't the thing.......... what do I know !

Hey chaps. Can anyone recommend a top tattoo artist, in the Midlands (though I'd happily travel) that could do me an awesome Japanese dragon (full sleeve)? I think I'd want hints of red but not to much colour. Cheers in advance
If your willing to travel then head down to Portsmouth. I use a guy called Scott Hansler at kingston Ink. Search fim on Fb as he posts his work often. He's brilliant with his shading and Japanese pieces. He is also really fast, Thats a hard talent to have when tattooing but one thats priceless on long sittings

Hey mate, I'm looking for a place that could do me an awesome Japanese style [maybe a dragon] sleeve and noticed you've had work at Modern Body Art in Birmingham - do you still rate them?Cheers for the comments, I kinda agree about the thumb diamond, it was done as a sort of 'meh...' moment. Hi, yeah I still rate MBA, it's a great studio. Matt - who did my Japanese sleeve - no longer does Japanese style though as far as I know, he's switched to a more modern abstract style. Riccardo - who did my plague doctor and knee - does a variety of styles including Japanese and some of his recent sleeves and large pieces look superb so I'd definitely recommend him.
Another place to look is Gung Ho! in Birmingham. Never been myself but Rich Pearson is top notch at proper traditional Japanese work:

Purely in the interests of a before and after comparison, do you happen to have a photo of her arse please?
I do, I do happen to have a photo of her arse. I have numerous in fact, for it is a fine thing to behold. I would post, but am sure the mods would delete post-haste Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
