His nail-varnish juxtaposes rather nicely with trouser colour though.

He is superb but the £500 day rate puts me off as does the long waiting list. Great work though.

Divide his daily rate by how long you're expecting to be wearing the tattoo for then come back and tell us if you want a cheaper one or not smile

Cheers for the patronising tone. I have over 30+ hours of work so I speak from a point of experience. £500 a day is expensive.

I personally don't think it is, I mean any well regarded artist I've met or had work from charges around £70/hr.. so 8 hours at that rate is £560. £500 for a full day is fair going, I'd say.

Mitch, who did my front piece, charged me £400/day though, which is lowering his hourly rate but it's because it's easier to set up for one customer for a day than do 2 or 3 different people in a day.

Yea, tbh I didn't think a day rate of £500 was too bad. How many hours is that?

Even at £100/hr for 5 hrs that seems ok to me.

Anyone going to the London Convention?

Should be there on the Saturday hopefully. If not then definitely the Sunday.

Suppose I phrased it wrong. There are maybe 2/3 in UK I would pay that for a day but it's a personal choice. There are stacks of quality artists charging £300 to £400 for a full day.

Studio is called Skullianz, Artist's called Ian Morgan. Pretty sure his work is on Instagram/Pinterest etc (Would link but both are blocked at work).

Best bet would be to travel up for an hour / a cuppa and discuss what you want and get a feel, since its only a short drive up the A30 from Bracknell.

Does anyone know of (recommend) a tattooist in the Berkshire area and somewhere that I can see some of his/her work?
Adam Davey at electric lady for realism, one of the best grey white tattoos ever.... Ben the butcher from eternal nirvana is also talented.

That all black arm is garbage.

Is it covering up a really horrific sleeve, and the only way to kill it was to do that?

To me that looks photoshopped on - perhaps to disguise an unfinished piece that the wearer/artist doesn't want to reveal yet. I've seen this done before.

Thanks for this, looks like good stuff from these guys. Interestingly I think I like the look of Adam William's work more, but have liked their Facebook page and will have a better look/pop in soon.

Thanks.
