I had a large eagle/snake combo tattooed on my upper arm 25 years ago, which i guess was a popular image then, now when i notice it, i just think what a c0ck. I'm not that person any more, so if it can happen to me...
As for tattoo's on girls, instant turn off for me, especially arse antlers and novelty tats, just looks cheap IMHO.

Tattoo's are a personal thing. If you like them great, get one if it's what you want, if you don't then simply don't have one.

Gruf' it's a shame you have fallen out of favour with yours, yes there is always the scenario of later regret, but isn't that the case for may things as we get older and/or supposedly wiser. I had my first tattoo some 25 years ago, still have other work in progress now, and fortunately I'm still happy with all of mine, never had a cover-up and still don't regret any.
