My cousin's wife's family are all covered in tattoos. Her nephew is a tattoo artist and has just done this for his cousin:

Should I tell him something's missing? hehe

Needs a comma too, or ellipses, or possibly a semicolon. Could be two separate statements but then it could also have a full stop. I guess it would then need one at the end of the second sentence, but punctuation in a tattoo or other forms of typographical art can look wrong. Unless it's of punctuation.

Maybe he's deliberately omitted the punctuation, as a form of parody, i.e. that he's already played it wrong before he's even finished making the statement. No, I've got it, he wants punctuation nazis to bring him up on it so he can punch their faces.

No, ellipses, which is the plural of ellipsis. The first rule of pedantry is to get a dictionary.

Not if the subject of the pedantry is non-linguistic.

I know we've all abandoned this thread in despair at the state of the populace's punctuational ability, but

Hi Chap's,

I have tried to search this topic, but I have been unable to find any result's so sorry if this topic has been covered before.

I've just been shopping, and left my scooter in the Waitrose carpark. I came back to find it on the floor, and the car park attendant next to it, whom advised me he saw a silver car hitting it, but by the time he walked over to it, it had gone. He is checking the cctv, and if the license plate is availiable, what can I do? Now if they had left a note with a contact number etc I would'nt be bothered, as it's just a £1k snotter, but just the flagrant disrespect with people around, and just driving off makes me want to see what can be done.

All your expert replies greatfully recieved.

Regards
Mr Fox.

Ban's would be a bit harsh but I agree with the rest, I think some people get carried away with spelling and grammer. We all make typo's from time to time and forget how to spell a word.
'Apostrophe' or 'Spelling police'? Hmm.

We have signs up at work warning staff of lifting slings that may be damaged:

"Do not use if fibre's can be seen"

I think we're actually the biggest company in the world in our particular area of expertise, obviously we don't specialise in grammar. I think I'm the only person who has noticed it TBH rolleyes
