Just had to endure some Michael McIntyre show in the staff canteen this evening. What a load of drivel.

I usually enjoy MM but that Sarah Millichan woman! Does she have any material that doesn't revolve around urinating, her fanny or being fat.

I thought Carol vorderman was better on the a Grand Tour where apparently she died.

The Ozzy with one leg. In fact, that whole 'last leg' show is bloody awful.

I need a stand up act identifying and don't want to make a new thread.

Its a double act, old men, west country accents. Tall posh one is the straight man, shorter funny man pulls faces when reacting.

I watched a recording of them about 15yrs ago but no idea who they are.

I love him! He's brilliant!!! I once shared a lift with him at the original Comedy Store. That was so long ago, I still had hair....

My favourite Alexi Sayle quote

"I got 2 ‘O’ levels – one in biology and one in metalwork. If you ever need your cat welded, I’m your man"

I like Alexi Sayle, I also like the fact he's essentially been doing the same act of angry, surrealist, anarcho, punk comedy for 40 years nearly and it's never got old.

Sayle's autobiography, with him narrating, is on Audible. Called "Stalin Ate My Homework", it describes growing up in a militant Communist household in the 50s and 60s.

Laugh out loud funny, IMO.

I think Alexi Sayle once said "I'm an alterative comedian, that means I'm not funny"

I couldn't agree more on the talent vacuum that is Sarah Millican. She spends so much time talking st on the BBC I think she must share an agent with Nigel Farage.

Whenever I've been unfortunate enough to see her on anything you can guarantee she will mention her inability to walk past a bakery before I can reach the remote control. Utter, utter, sh!te.

I was working in Brighton a few weeks ago and stumbled across the Brighton Fringe festival. Paid six quid for a ticket to a comedy gig in a room above a boozer and it was a mixed bag but one decent comic to look out for was Zahra Barri. She was trying out some new stuff which was understandably hit & miss but some of her material which will no doubt make it into the regular set was bloody hilarious.

there was another good turn on who was a vicar by day and called himself (unsure of the spelling) Ravi Holi. I'm as anti-theist as they come but this bloke had me in stitches.

Ah yes, his "Sandwich Shop". I managed the (very) occasional smile, but for the most part he seemed reliant on a super-concentrated Liverpudlian accent (he made John Bishop sound like Brian Sewell).

As with Alexei Sayle (see above!), her act seems overly reliant on an exaggerated regional accent to make what she is saying seem amusing.

Pedantry alert #1: It's "Aussie".

Pedantry alert #2: He has 2 legs, but only 1 foot.
