Stewart Lee, he will starve his audience of any laughs for many minutes at a time. When he eventually makes one of his "witty" observations, his audience are so grateful for even a hint of comedy that they latch onto it with gusto, fearing that they may not get another opportunity for half an hour.

He also repeats himself a lot.

I also dislike the way his fans regard him as some sort of highbrow comedian.

Thats funny, and clever with it, and working, as a joke within the joke, etc.

I've seen him about 5 times - the first, before he was famous he was quite good. He did a belly dancing routine and a clever switch between Iraninan/ English accents.. and the Iraninans on planes gag. 6 years later he is still doing the same thing. And is not funny. Last year he did a secret 'warm up' gig before his TV series and the entire audience sat there in stony silence - he totally bombed. Dreadful.

Lee Evans is not funny.
And neither is that tt Harry Hill.

Andy Parsons. Everything he spouts is so cringeworthy and might raise a laugh in a playground full of 2 year olds. You know the punchline before he's even opened his mouth.

Omid Djallili (or however you spell it) used to be part of a duo, years ago.

You don't have a sense of humour.

Went to a 'comedy' club a year or so ago and was not impressed.

It was in Leeds and we had some southerner with a routine revolving around people on the london Underground...hmmmm..frown

But worse we had some up her arse so called comedienne who's whole act was just to pick various sections of the audience and slag them off.

We were disgusted when a pair of girls who had been a victim of her waspish cheap 'humour' started to hit back with a few insults of their own and were rewarded by being thrown out by security.

The stuck up bint on stage was slow hand clapped after that and finished her act to a very muted reception.

This is what happens to comedy clubs when PC laws have killed humour.

The whole point of humour when people make racist jokes etc is that you laugh in shock at the comments being made.. a bit like school kids goggling when told off. laughing at racist humour does not make you a racist.

All comedians can do with routines now is yabble on about farting and body parts or stereotype white people without accents (which is still acceptable)

I found the commediens' so called humour and the clubs action with security highly offensive but then my views don't count.

I do, very much so, but for some reason I just didn't 'get' The Fast Show at all. What was so good about it?

I've said this before every time this topic gets dragged up.

Just because YOU don't find a comedian funny, doesn't make them unfunny, they just don't appeal to your type of humour.

If they were not funny, no-one would like them, and they wouldn't become popular.

Maybe the thread should be renamed "Comedians whose humour you don't get"?

I can understand people not finding Gervais to their taste but I can't see how you can say he isn't funny as such.

Did you see the sketch with the carrot crunchers discussing the benefits of a Mueller Fruit Corner yoghert?

And, of course the bloke who kept saying "arse". Timeless.

I don't find Dawn French funny, but then again, I don't find anything that Lenny Henry has been in funny.
