Archduke Franz Ferdinand was wearing a bullet proof vest made (partly) of silk when he was assassinated in June 1914.

The Japanese had silk armour long before this...it could deflect arrows.

Franz Ferdinand was shot in the jugular (above the vest) and died quickly. His assassination helped trigger WW1.

If you lay out an average roll of toilet paper on the floor and say one end is the formation of the Earth and the other end is now, Humans have been around for a period of time equivalent to the width of the remains of the torn perforations on the end the last sheet.

I only found out today that Puma (the clothing brand) was founded by the brother of the founder of Adidas.

Thats my interesting but useless fact.

Your turn.
Yes, they couldn't stand the sight of each other....

Adi (Dassler) and Horst.........
Adi Das, that makes sense.

Horst Dassler, hmm do Pumas dazzle horses?

Lidl and Aldi are German brothers too I think?
Given the age of thread this may already have been mentioned, but the puma founding dassler brother was called Rudi. Horst was adi's son.

The number of atoms in a Smartie is approx the same and the number of tubes of Smarties it would take to reach Pluto and back.

Which means that any glass of water is statistically likely to contain atoms from Julius Caesar's last piss.
