Absolute cracker last night.

Her - I've got a question
Me - hehe come on then
Her - See buses with N infront of the number?
Me - Yes....
Her - Do they only drive the North side of the town?
Me - yikesrofl
Me - No, they are from the night service
I would've never known that, I'm not aware of night service buses where I am, they mainly finish at about 11pm
but, but, but... aren't buses for poor people?

It's true, that's why they put big windows on buses so that normal people, who can afford cars can easily point and laugh.

And for some of the passengers who leave their cars at home and use their FREE bus pass can laugh at the stationary cars as the bus nips down the bus lane. biggrin

Not that I use it much myself.

I've only had my car 3 weeks roughly but yes buses are for poor people
I hope I never have to risk a journey with the great unwashed on one again

She never said it was moving faster than usual, she just said it was moving fast. And it is. It's moving fast around the Earth while we move fast around the sun which moves fast around the milky war which moves fast around the cosmos. She's a genius.
There's a 'milky war? yikes

wink
Fight! Hera got some expressed milk in Zeus's eye while creating the galaxies and then it was lightning bolts and brimstone everywhere. Clearly not a breast man. wobble

Tell her that dolphins evolved from a similar ancestor to the Hippo which is what they can run so fast when them come ashore biggrin

I'd have to ask Richard Dawkins on that one. We have the ability to swim from birth, is that an inbuilt skill left over from our evolutionary history? Could well be. She may be spot on.

People who can't swim just didn't use the skill early enough, and then developed a fear that then hampered them.

Just because some creatures lose a skill along the way, doesn't mean that others can't have kept it.

If you look a picture of an early stage embryo of any mammal, it's almost impossible to tell a human from a mouse from a hippo from a giraffe. We all share the same evolutionary history.

Plus I think it's whales and hippos that are very closely related, although that doesn't alter your point. Whales aren't too nifty on their feet either.

When a baby swims, it's more of a crawling motion, not swimming
