......Does salt evaporate?"
I believe it does slightly doesn't it?
It boils at about 1400C, so yes it does.
Which must explain the low sodium content of a McDonald's apple pie.
Oh you.

"What do pipe cleaners do?"
hehe

I was guilty of this one when I was younger. Every time they'd mention pipe cleaners on blue peter etc, I always wondered how you were meant to clean a pipe with something so small.

Then I realised they were for smoking pipes, not drain/plumbing pipes

Mrs S and I went to a nice local village pub recently.

During our wait for lunch Mrs S went back to our car to retrieve something. On her return she mentioned that there was an MR2 in the car park with a rather ostentatious private plate that was probably worth more than the car. (I wont mention the plate name) After a brief response which I cannot remember we left it at that. We paid for lunch and drinks then returned to our car where the aforementioned MR2 was parked. Except it was not an MR2 it was a McLaren MP4-12C painted volcanic red. "Was that the Car?" I asked inquisitively. "Yes that's it!" "Erm Ron Dennis would be proud of you." I replied and proceeded to explain to Mrs S that the number plate was unlikely to cost more than the car. The response was "Oh"

It made me chuckle.

Mrs: The hair dryer isn't drying as quick anymore.

Me: Well you've taken the little thing off the nozzle that concentrates the air flow.

Mrs: Yeah, but the air hits a wider area without it so it will dry quicker.

Me: But by spreading the air out, it will take longer to dry as the area you are immediately pointing the dryer at is actually getting less of a concentrated blast.

Mrs: Look, the nozzle makes no difference.
G
Me: So why did the makers put it on in the first place?

Mrs: [THE MENTAL!]

According to the internet:

"While they come in various shapes and sizes, concentrators do just that: help you to concentrate air flow into a specific area on your head, enabling you to have more control while you're styling. For shiny locks, direct the flow of the nozzle from the roots to the ends. Also, use a lower speed setting with a higher temperature to not only speed up drying, but to keep your hair from blowing all over"

If the above is right it should dry faster without the concentrator nozzle.

It says also.

I read that as saying use the concentrator with higher temp and lower speed....

Well it just goes to show their massive lack of logical problem solving.

"I changed something, and now it doesn't work as well any more. That's weird, why is that? Did you break it?"

mmm...but the concentrator should speed up the airflow.

I'd test it, but I don't think my 2mm hair length will present the dryer with much of a challenge!

There's a crossroads near us with a garage on one side. Painted in massive letters on the road as you approach the junction is the word 'SLOW'.

Approaching once from the opposite direction:

Mrs - is Barry (bloke who's garage it is) allowed to paint that on the road?

Me - paint what on the road?

Mrs - he's put MOTS on the road next to the garage

I wish I was joking. And you don't want to hear about the time we were watching the news and she said David Blunkett was ignorant because he didn't look at the camera...

That's precisely what I thought. She's also as stubborn as mule and would argue black is white.

So we were discussing who would need to be where and when over the next few days.
Mrs said "Oh! and I have a smear test on the 9th. It's in the morning but will only be a quick in and out."

Sat down to play on the Xbox and told the mrs il come off and make dinner at 7pm. I keep glancing up at the clock on the wall. She says

'Why do you keep looking at the clock? It's not going to change'

Followed by

'Are you going to put that on pistonheads'
