These sea forts fascinate me!

I read a story recently that the US bombers used to lob empty oil barrels at them when they returned from raids. Cheeky Buggers.

Took these pictures last year on a remote Scottish island, the last one is the island's working petrol station, you had to knock at the guy's front door when you wanted serving.

St Mary's Asylum, Stannington, Northumberland.

Would have got to visit more of the place if Security hadn't caught us and escorted us off site frown

Only one i could find, but it was a derelict waitrose, the meat fridges still smelt of meat and the place constantly leaked. was pitch black in the main store.

Imagine going into a padded cell in an old abandoned lunatic asylum, taking your pictures and stuff and then hearing a 'click' behind you. You look around and the door is closed. You try to open it but you cannot. You bang on the walls, but nobody can hear you...

I was hoping the guys from 28 Days Later would have a go at No Man's Land Fort and Spitbank Fort in the Solent. Sailed past them a few years back and they intrigued me, seems No Man's Land sold recently for £900k, a bargain as it was valued in 2004 for some £14m!!!!

Old village or farmstead in Montgenevre, France. Must've been a bit inconvenient living there in the winter
