O/T

Looks like a HTC Hero, nice phone.

To be honest it sounds like they did you a favour and saved you from the horror TX MAXX in Shorpe. How could that place be good enough for 3 Xs?

Still love that the swear filter censors that.

I once got a death threat from 118 118 left on my answerphone. Seriously.

I went fking tonto and got their chief exec on the phone bowing and scraping.

Eh ???

I hope you recorded it - I'd've wanted more than an apology....

May I be the first to suggest the killdozer as a solution to this problem?

Me and the future Mrs Gearchange were going to see our wedding photographer in deepest darkest Kent but had trouble finding the address and didn't have his number. So she called up 118 118 on my mobile who gave us the wrong number 3 times on the bounce.
On the 4th attempt they again tried to give us the wrong number despite my wife's protestations - so she decided to hang up - although upon doing so she did refer to them (albeit to me) as a "Shower of tts"

I wake up the next morning to find an answerphone message on my mobile which said:

"Hello this is 118 118 - if you phone us again dont call us tts otherwise we will find you and we will kill you" yikes

Now I happen to know a little bit about call centres and since the message was date and time stamped I knew that they would be able to identify exactly who had made the call.

Long story short I got a written apology from their chief exec - my wife (who was very traumatised by the whole event whistle) got a fastastic bouquet of flowers and the guy who made the call was immediately sacked.

I did think about going to the papers with it but then realised that I wasn't a money grabbing council estate pikey lowlife. Apology, Flowers and the knobend losing his job was good enough for me hehe

You want to use this lot

http://www.aqa.63336.com/

About a billion times better than 118 118 and the rest, just text them a question about anything and you'll have your reply in a jiffy, no matter how obscure or ridiculous the question!

Dear JTW

Thank you for your email drawing this matter to our attention.

May I firstly apologise for the poor level of service you have received from our Company. I will certainly be looking into this matter further for you and as a gesture of goodwill would like to arrange a refund for the cost of the call and text you made to 118118.

Unfortunately as we are not your service provider I am unable to credit your telephone bill directly, but I am able to refund you in either of the following ways:-
  • A postal cheque for the cost of the call and text made to 118118
  • 6 free texts to our service (normally charged at £1.00 per text)
  • A donation for the cost of the call & text made to the NSPCC on your behalf
If you could forward me your address details and the form of refund you require I will action it immediately for you. Should you choose the refund cheque option we do advise 28 days delivery, if you would prefer the free text option these will be arranged with 12 – 24 hours and a confirmation text will be sent to your phone when they become active.
Sorted - Shockingly simple smile
