Top nostaligingI had one of those, i loved it then, and even looking at it now it's pretty amazing.
For those how missed out on one of these, the screen would show a rear projection image of a scrolling road, and you'd steer a small car across the bottom.
I seem to remember quite a bit of the dash actually worked too.

Now that is pretty good, must have cost my parents a fortune.

I can't believe it! Oh, the memories....the technology!!I loved that game. However, as with all my electronic games I usually pulled it apart to see how it worked.
Ironically it never worked again.

I bet not too many people had one of these (and that was the problem)....
I had one... my first "console" (pre- NES)That one...
with games like this (on tape as it was so big).
Overly complicated and took hours to load...
and others I've had:
^ Could almost be called the Gran turismo's grandad. You could modify your car, change the spoilers' angles IIRC
pheewwwww... brings me back.
There's a Dutchman who seem to collect everything MSX related: http://manuel.msxnet.org/msx/collection/

ROM? Talk about an easy life. I have Yie Ar Kung Fu on the Acorn Electron on cassette! Out of interest, does your version have the bug where if you knock each other out at the same time, you get millions of points? CaptainSlow said:
I so wanted Yie Ar Kung Fu on ROM for my MSX. The cartridges were relatively expensive at £20-£25. I only had one on cartridge...Antartic Adventure.
I feel spoilt. It seems the games were much cheaper back in France (less than 150 Francs for the best ones at the time)... Then again, everything I read about the MSX seem to state that the machine didn't really sell in UK and US markets for some reasons.CaptainSlow said:

I did! Exactly like that one. Cost me nearly £200 (?) from the local TV/Radio shop. Spent hours, and hours playing Kings Valley.

Had one of these as well, they are great. Get onto eBay and buy one. Great for quick basic programming. I wanted a Sinclair MK14.
Now making over £200 on eBay. I have found a site that uses a PIC 16f877 to emulate it and keep meaning to get round to it.
International Karate, I used to play this on my cousins Amiga when I was little
Wasn't this on TV-AM?
Sega Mega Drive, bit like Elite, loved it...
This ruined my school work for years....CM to CM2 (already mentioned) then onwards...even CM Italia Edition...
Alien Breed on the Amiga, the sound of the initial gun was very similar to that of the rapid fire guns in the film Aliens IIRC.
Went through a period when I did a lot of flight sims, F117A was a nice one.
Sonic, cracking game.
Classic!
