^^Nope. Wouldn't tell the public.

First thing I'd probably do is jump straight into self-funded (scientific) research at my university and continue to do so for the lifetime. It'll be a cool job as it is quite unlike the monotony of working in a non-research lab.... wink

Plus, I wouldn't live in a overly flash home. As for the car collection, nothing too modern and flashy (Ferrari, Lambo etc).

I can't see how you could NOT go public, one way or another, with a £56million win?

Unless of course you didn't spend too much of it and what would be the point of that?

There's quite a few people in the World that have earned, or inherited, more than that, but they don't stash it away somewhere and hope no-one finds out their rich - they spend it, have exotic houses, even more exotic cars and generally enjoy their success... Very easy to find out who they are, where they live, etc., but they don't seem to get mugged every day or bombarded with begging letters that they can't cope with...

On the interest alone, you could pay a fair few staff to look after your security and deal with the junk mail, so why not go public?

With that amount of money, most of us would stick a load into some sort of business enterprise to keep it growing, so think of the publicity you'd get for whatever that business might be?
