only 2 - the singer and drummer from 'the music' who were in the year below. would've thought my primary had some famous sons (200+ yrs old vs 38) but no.

had a couple of semi famous teachers - iva ropati (kiwis rugby player) taught english and the only teacher in the school without a degree (taught maths and was easily the best teacher I had) played division 1 footy in the 50s as well as the england reserve team.

Robert Smith from The Cure.

From my town:

Gareth Southagte lived the road up from me.
Eugene Sully from Big Brother lives the road DOWN from me (and my dog jumped all over him).
X-Factor's Chico mother-fking Chico is also my from town.

Yeap- 3 out of the 4 people i've mentioned didn't go to my school.
Eugene's brother was in my year as was Gareth Southgate's sister I think.

Whoever had "Pork Pie" at their school is clearly the winner!

Harold Wilson went to my old school (Wirral Grammar School for Boys)
Inevitably EVERY book had Harold Wilson written in the inside cover as previous owner!!
Same here Glocko - just checked the alumni on wiki and Alex Cox is about the next notable person, thought we may have had a few more...

Bunch of young kids used to thump bigger lads in my school, and if anyone retaliated, the little un's big brother (who was in the year above me) would be waiting at the school gates, John Conteh!!

My school is famous for producing the bloke that wrote the Pot Noodle adverts and a video featuring two girls fighting that was taken off YouTube.

We had a naughty headmaster at my old school, although he started there well after I left. Hazel Irvine the sports presenter is the only vaguely famous alumni I can think of.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee ( same class but ended up doing a bit better than me).
Michael Aspell

Mervyn Davies ( Merve "the swerve" greatest ever welsh rugby captain} was my PE teacher who gave me a sound thrashing with a plimsol.

Some bloke who won the Turing Award and a Nobel Prize.

Also, Richard Oakes was in the year above me. One day he was at school, bit of a saddo, no-one really knew him, the next day he's in Suede, replacing Bernard Butler on lead guitar. Film crews and music journos all over the place.

My wife went to school with terrible rave band QFX. Her headteacher was rugby legend Jim Telfer.

My Dad went to school with Steven Seagal. He spent a few months over here in the 60s staying with relatives.

More boringly, there was a point in the 1950s where the two senior Judges in Scotland and England, the Speaker of the House of Commons, and the Lord Chancellor were all Watsonians. Beat that Heriots!
